agree with you but Murphy does not suck. At least not the player i saw with Indiana and GS. Dude is a rebounder and a great shooter, which team cant use one of those?Bibby is a liability on the defense and IMO chalmers is better for Miami, not even an upgrade there.Brewer is pretty much garbage but i am still shocked Knicks waived him isntead of even bigger garbage Roger Mason Jr

Bibby is a significant upgrade over the likes of Chalmers, House, and Arroyo. He can actually score and distribute the ball unlike the other Heat PG's who just sit and camp at the 3 pt line. I am certain he will average more than 6.7 PPG, and 2.3 APG which is Chalmers season average. Sure Bibby is a liability on defense but James and Wade can help cover that deficiency. The addition of Murphy would be a significant upgrade to the Heat bench. Unfortunately Murphy would fit in great with the Knicks but it sounds like he is keyed on either the Heat or Celtics.

My thoughts exactly was having this argument with a friend of mine who is a huge wolves fan. Sure its great to grab 10+ rebounds and score 20 points but if your letting your man drop 20 or 30 it diminishes your offensive contribution
If James and Wade let Bibby run the offense a little, then they might not each have 5 turnovers against a team like the Knicks. So, he might be an upgrade because he combines House's 3-pt ability with Arroyo's ability to distribute. No one in Miami knows why Chalmers is playing so much, except that he is the lesser of defensive liabilities.

Not sure he would get more then 6 pts a game, not many shots after the big 3 ALso the Heat will be facing real quick PG's in postseason like Rose and ROndo, Chalmers is a relatively good defensive PG who gets lots of steals

Murphy is a defensive liability. Sure he can hit a 3, but is Miami missing offense? Also, how many shots is he really going to get? He's a good offensive player, but I doubt he's logging any serious playoff minutes. IMO.
Bibby is such a sieve defensively that he'll crush Miami when they play Boston. If Wade/Lebron have to cover Rondo, that opens things up for Allen/Pierce. Who would Bibby be guarding in that series? He can't see the floor in a Boston/Miami series.

I've been shocked to see how much his game has fallen off since he left the Kings. Maybe his success there was predicated more on his team than his own abilities?
Rondo doesn't require anyone to guard him more than 10 feet away from the basket, I think they could hide Bibby for 10-15 minutes a game. Bibby could probably also contribute to the Celts, for that matter. Miami won a title with Jason Williams and Gary Payton a few years ago; Derek Fisher has won back to back titles. There's room for washed up PGs who can still shoot and distribute on a lot of title contenders.
I expect Bibby to come off the bench when Lebron comes out, because Wade is too much of a turnover machine. He might also play when the opposing starting PG goes out. He won't get many minutes, but he makes the bench better.

$10,000 put your money where your mouth is..Just kidding.Thats not really a good bet because its going to take him at least 5-10 games to become acclimated to the offense and his teammates, during this transition its hard to say how many minutes he would get to play and how many points he would score. Chalmers sucks (see missed uncontested layup vs Knicks as an example) and makes at least 3 boneheaded plays a game and Arroyo cant hit a contested shot; Bibby can actually hit jumpers and run a halfcourt offense. The Heat managed to make the Knicks defense look like the days of Ewing, Mason, Oakley, etc. because of thier inability to run any semblence of an NBA halfcourt offense, Bibby would solve this problem. Jmon if your interested we can re-assess during the playoffs at which point Im much more likely to place a wager.

Bibby is more than done. The Hawks biggest need is PG, and they traded their first rounder this year, and their first rounder next year, just to grasp that Hinrich might be an upgrade over him. Poor Deron Williams when introduced to Nets fans for the first time you could hear a pin drop. Only 15,000 in attendance. Gallo, Chandler, and Felton when introduced to Denver got standing ovations same with Gerald Wallace and yet Nets fans couldnt even muster a cheer for Deron Williams. 18 assists in his opening debut is impressive though.

If he is healthy, I'm sure he fits well for most any teams who don't need him to start. He is a good defensive rebounder who is shoots very well from the outside.A Heat lineup going small of Bibby, Wade, Lebron, Murphy and Bosh is pretty damn good. Same could be said of a Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Murphy, Garnett lineup.

I thought it was strange that they chose to wear throwback Cincinnati/Rochester Royals unis on a night where they were trying to drum up support to keep the team in Sac. Seems like they are saying we moved from a different city to Sac we could move again. Either playing up the possibility they could leave or that they are are not totally committed to Sacramento.I'm heading out to the Kings game tonight in Sacramento. I'm not an avid basketball fan like most in here, so this may be a dumb question, but why exactly do the Maloofs want to move the Kings to Anaheim? Sure their attendance in Sacramento this year has been very bad, but the team has sucked for 4 odd years now. And if I remember correctly, they always used to sell out games when the team had Chris Webber and co. and they were making the playoffs every year. Plus, what reason is there to believe that the team's attendance in Anaheim will be consistently higher after the initial honeymoon period? The Anaheim Ducks are in the bottom third of attendance in the NHL despite being a playoff team. Plus, the Arco Arena has a higher capacity than the Honda Center. What am I missing?
Apparently the TV rights in Anaheim are more than enough to make up for lower levels of fan interest, or at least that's the story going around. I think this might also be a calculated step designed to get people in Sacramento serious about building arena; they've been dragging their feet on the issue for years, and that building needs to be replaced.

I was there center court row 11 and it was a very good crowd - D Will got many standing ovations and even the traditional chant of "De-ron Williams.....De-ron Williams" throughout the game. Jay-Z, Beyonce and Strahan chatting with him courtside....really good game losing at the buzzer on instant replay in OT - guy looked like he was having a blast to me.

Supposedly the Maloof's are very cash flow poor at the moment (the whole Palms expansion, etc. isn't going well) which is causing their desire to move. I don't think Anaheim is ideal, but the stadium situation is better than Sac. Ideally they'd move to Seattle or Vancouver, but there aren't ready to use stadiums in those cities.

To be fair, the Clippers only had 2 home games in the month of February: the Bulls and Celtics. I don't imagine any teams would be giving away tickets to those games.Not the best of moves, but still a nice gesture.

Williams looked to be having a good time last night. Daily dime describes their team well. They need another star and some interior defense, but ey have some other nice pieces. Morrow is currently the all time leader in three point percentage (ahead of Kerr) and Lopez is reasonable enough in the middle as a third or fourth option. Going to have to be through free agency obviously, but Williams makes them good sooner then later.

I agree that this thing is inappropriate in alot of ways. The best move was probably just to skip it. Assuming black=underprivileged, his personal history, the month, and the fact that a silly portion of the population doesn't know Griffin is half-black all make this a terrible PR move.Just saying that if he thought it was important to do something for Black History Month that involved giving away tickets to home games, he didn't really have any options. I disagree, ill take Chalmers over Bibby. Chalmers is the perfect PG for the Heat, defense and 3pt shooting,. He has struggled this year, but he's shown signs. Let them grow together and stop jerking the lineup around with Arroyo, Bibby, House, etc.

I wouldn't go as far as JMon but I agree with him that Chalmers is a better fit than Bibby. Bibby would normally dribble the ball up, give it to LeBron or Wade then stand in the corner waiting for to shoot a 3. And play bad defense. LeBron and Wade will always act as the true PGs for this team.

Never will happen. Just like a ball handling PG wouldn't fit next to Kobe or Jordan. LBJ needs the ball, throw in Wade and it wouldn't work. That would really be reinventing LeBron's and Wade's game. They both have a long history of dominating the ball. I can't imagine this would work.

Deng is playing with much more confidence since the 2nd half against the Heat. Only 2.5 games but I hope it continues. It would make a huge difference when it matters most.

I'm pretty sure what the C's offered him was the maximum they could at the time by rule. Maybe there is a provision where a team who trades for a guy has a window to negotiate under different guidelines?

While watching the game last night, I came to the conclusion that, overall, Deng is a better player than Boozer. Teams really have to pay a premium for a player that can score in the post.
