Sez the man with the Griz +6 who wants no part of OT!That looks like a two
SA had a TORandolph should have missed on purpose there. With 1.7 seconds there wouldn't be enough time for San Antonion to get a shot off.Now they've got time to catch and shoot.

ask derek fisher that too...Holy #### - how was he able to dribble and still get that off in 1.7 seconds?
Can you advance to midcourt off of a rebound when you only have a 20 second timeout left?Either way, you're burning half a second with the rebound-and-timeout.SA had a TORandolph should have missed on purpose there. G'nite Spurs.
Not so fast Laker fans.We are witnessing NBA history and its not getting enough play. Yeah, yeah matchups, but a#8 seed is about to beat the #1 seed, 4-1!Z BO!!!!!!!
I was thinking this exact same thing. You take a long freethrow with a long rebound. By the time the Spurs get it and call timeout, you're under a second left.Randolph should have missed on purpose there. With 1.7 seconds there wouldn't be enough time for San Antonion to get a shot off.Now they've got time to catch and shoot.![]()
As a Laker fan I'm rooting for the Spurs. They have the better shot to beat Oklahoma City, and I'd rather play the Spurs than the Thunder.G'nite Spurs. Not so fast Laker fans.We are witnessing NBA history and its not getting enough play. They still would have had time. The timeout would be immediately after the rebound.Randolph should have missed on purpose there. With 1.7 seconds there wouldn't be enough time for San Antonion to get a shot off.Now they've got time to catch and shoot.
...It happened.What happened?

Last second 3 pointer by Spurs puts it in overtime. What happened?
Doesn't the clock start when the ball is touched?I was thinking this exact same thing. You take a long freethrow with a long rebound. I was in Maui for much of that series.I was in Hawaii for my graduation present to myself and my GF, that ####### game ruined an entire day of vacation.Yep, Game 1 of the WCF vs the NuggetsI do remember he was extremely hot during that playoff run. IIRC, they would have lost one game without him tipping an inbound play. : (Actually looking at the stats he was probably the 4th best player during the playoffs. He was hot from three point range all playoffs long.Shot 50%, 48% from 3pt land.4th leading scorer, rebounder, and in minutes. 3rd in assists.Kobe, Pau, and Odom were top 3. Ariza, Fish, and Drew all had their moments, Ariza probably the best overall. Was he seriously that high in the rotation with the Lakers? I did not realize that. I do agree he's the best of that group. He may be better than Landry, who is way overmatched on the defensive end.Ariza was a 5th/6th on a championship team![]()

What did he do?I *officially* hate Popovich. How could a wealthy NBA coach with rings be such a total d-bag?

OT's been very good as well.I don't care who wins this game at all, but that end of regulation was great.
People tend to overreact to these kinds of losses (see Mavs rebound) and assume HUGE shifts in momentum.Crushing loss for Memphis. The Spurs have been perfect in OT. This series may turn around now.
I know, I thought about Dallas. You make a good point. If there is a difference, it's that Dallas has a bunch of veterans who have been through it all before. Memphis doesn't.People tend to overreact to these kinds of losses (see Mavs rebound) and assume HUGE shifts in momentum.Crushing loss for Memphis. The Spurs have been perfect in OT. But Memphis will be back home in front of a raucous crowd that will snap them out of any funk they might be in. I think they'll be disappointed, but they'll also know that they came back from a big Spurs lead and *should* have won the game. I think the same problems the Spurs have had with Memphis will be in place on Friday night.I know, I thought about Dallas. You make a good point. Carl Landry's a good player. Belinelli, Ariza, and JJack are solid rotation players.I agree that without West the roster is pretty weak, but cupboard isn't completely bare. There is no better matchup for quick PGs than LA, they don't have a single player on the roster that can slow them down. And minus West, the Hornets roster is pretty damn pathetic. They have Paul, a decent starting center in Okafor and 10 other players who are borderline nba talents. The Lakers are a great matchup for opposing guards, I agree. Best in the league? I'm not sure. However, none of this changes the fact that Paul took a band of scrubs, and got them to compete against a stacked roster, who is favored to win the championship, and probably has the most size in the NBA. It also doesn't change the fact that he was the best player on the court in this particular series.Chris Paul is an all time great. But lets be fair, this is the best matchup in the entire league for him, and Jack bailed him out at the end of Game 4 or else Paul would be sporting goat ears right now.'Britney Spears said:PS, I agree. Paul has been the best player in this series, including Kobe Bryant. No shtick.
Other than Paul, that roster is gross. I would argue they may be worse than the LeBron-less Cavs.
Jack and Belinelli were barely rotation players when they were with the Raptors. They have no business being on the floor in a playoff game.
