I assume Miami gets home court. I'm assuming both teams go on to win their series 4-1 as well so no rest issues to speak of. I'd guess it would be Mia -155/+130 Dallas or something along those lines.

Hard to imagine Stern and Co. not finding a way to take the Miami-Chicago series to at least six games (otherwise they're looking at a full week gap before the start of the Finals), plus remember that Game 5 will be in Chicago, where I assume the Bulls will still be slight favorites. I am starting to believe this, well I think this series will be a coin flip.The Heat's strength is the slashing ability of Wade and LBJ and their weakness is lack of ball movement and 3 point shooting, which plays right into Dallas' terrific zone defense held together by Chandler, Kidd, and Marion.On defense the Heat can cover a lot of ground on the court with Wade and LBJ out on the wings with able rim protectors underneath, but the ball movement of the Mavs has been downright ridiculous. Whoever, wins this match up will win the series because this is the #1 post-season defense vs the #1 post-season offense.

lebron is in beast mode and can and will do whatever his team needs on a given night. Its not worth talking Chicago/Dallas. If they can't stop Bosh, Dirk will average 45 against them the way he's playing.

We need another owner who would love to be part of the most epic Basketball League/Draft ever. I like Dallas because they have the ability to score in bunches like Miami does. Barea driving, Terry launching threes, Dirk getting hot (as he has been)...they can put up points with anyone. But the big key to me is that their defense is doing well - yes, Durant is scoring points but he hasn't had that same offesnice spark and I credit Marion and the interior D. I think Chandler's length will give Bosh fits where Noah and Co. have not and I think that Marion will be well-utlized on James and Wade at various points. Should be an interesting series.

The Heat are up 2-1. As much as they outclassed the Bulls in Game 3, the Bulls did so in Game 1. While the flaws in the Bulls are easy to see, we tend to forget that the Heat are no where near a complete team. I agree that the Heat are the easy favorite in the series now, but the Heat still need to win 2 games.

I mean ... look how all the San Diego-based fans here continued rooting for their childhood team, the Clippers, after they moved to L.A. instead of jumping ship to pull for a team to which they have no ties at all. That OKC offense down the stretch was absolutely brutal. Gotta put that on the coach, either for not calling quality plays or not instilling enough discipline to execute them. Once again Durant failed to take Kidd down into the post when he got the one on one matchup. Biggest failure of that whole last 5 minutes and OT.

Yes, but they're just not that great a team in the half court. Dallas doubled Durant HARD no matter where he was, and as long as you keep Westbrook outside the paint, after Harden fouled out OKC has nobody to score...Ibaka wasn't going to continue to knock down 19 foot jumpers all night...

There are only a few. Tobias, Clavin, Leeroy Jenkins, and a couple more. Honestly they bring up the Lakers/Kobe more than us fans do. I think they are trying to get under Laker fans skins, but I personally just think its funny they are so obsessed. Even more funny is the people they are trying to make laugh and play along are getting annoyed with them.

Relax. man. I just hate it when people judge other sports fans as somehow less "worthy" than they are. It's a personal pet peeve, nothing more. You have to have some go to play in the half court that you're confident can get you a decent look. They could have run it 10 times in a row, they only needed to hit on it once. Or at least when you recognize you can get Kidd matched up on Durant, tell Durant to post the #### up - shoot over Kidd if no double comes, hit the open guy (hopefully someone cuts to the basket) if help comes. Instead it was all chuck and duck. Bad coaching in there somewhere. The wired in segments are hilarious - how much do coaches get paid to spout the useless platitudes these guys spit out during those takes?

That's their whole offense. Everythign they run is Isolation. EVERYTHING. Either the PG "does something" or they run a high screen with the sole purpose of getting Durant the ball up high. There are very few picks away from the ball near the basket, almost no pick and roles, almost no passes inside that aren't simply for the purpose of passing the ball back out...it's amazing how boring the offense is. I'm not the least bit shocked that the offense looks stagnant towards the end of the game. The other team is hardcore focused on defense which makes the standard "give the ball to Durant/Russell/Harden and see what they can do!" offense worthless.

A bunch of the NBA fans who cheer for bad teams(Clavin) or no team(Ferris) banded together and all became "real Heat fans" after the summer signings. So its hard to figure out who's who since not a lot of Heat fans have been active in the NBA threads over the years and just started posting this year.

It will be a black and blue battle. But I expect Wade, Lebron or Bosh to step up big time on offense and be the difference in the 4th quarter. And that is where the difference has been the last 2 games. The 4th quarter. Also the Heat not letting the 3rd quarter doldrum to set in like it had in the regular season series. Again that is a big key. Do not let the Bulls jump on us in the third quarter (ala game one).
I expect Dwayne Wade to have a monster game tonight. 33 7-8 boards 5 dimes 2 blocks.

Oh yeah, it's on the coach. Brooks greatest success on the court came from watching his teammates pass the ball to Hakeem and then get out of the way. The only other part of the Houston offense was the "wide open three when Dream is triple-teamed." So its not THAT surprising that he wants to go isolation with his 2.5 potent scorers. But, like Houston back in the 90's, that doesn't bode well for when the team needs a bucket at the end of the shot clock or end of the quarter.

Crazy talk. Was it bad offense when Carisle ISO'd Dirk against the Lakers out front when he saw Pau Gasol was guarding Dirk? The NBA, more than any other sport, is about matchups. Taking advantage of mismatches is fundamental. Isolating a mismatch is one of the easiest ways to create scoring opportunities.

Agree, to a point. Kevin Durant is the league's leading scorer over the last two seasons and inarguably one of the league's finest all-around offensive players. That said, he has exactly one "game winning" shot in his career. SOMETHING isn't working with the way they run their offense late in games/quARTERS.
