The Heat let this one get away. And all this nonsense of the celebration coming early is just a national media latching on to a story to exploit and bash the Heat...again...for the umteenth time. It's so predictable and old and it is becoming quite a cliche. Jon Barry....your a tool!
The Heat will respond. Like they always have this season.
I hope you realize the Heat have given neutral fans a number of reasons to dislike them even if the media did nothing to promote it. I am blown away by their talent but their attitude since day 1 has dripped with over the top arrogance. If you act like an arrogant ###, a lot of people will not like you (although some will love you). I wish they would just accept that and just throw it in our faces by winning a title. They may in fact do that, but they had to whine about a lot of justified hate in the process as if they didn't play the role. If they just kept the attitude all year, it would be far more entertaining and far less irritating.
I guess. Being a lifelong Heat fan this has been a joy to finally have such an elite roster. It has me giddy and they can do no wrong in my eyes. I have enjoyed and soaked in all of it. yeah the introduction was over the top....but if you were part of it as a fan (which I di indeed do as I was there) it was a great moment for Heat fans. I knew we had not won anything yet.....but it is coming. The title this year...and next and the year after that (I know getting way ahead of myself here) will justify it all.
If you know Dwyane Wade like we do...he is not arrogant. He is a class act.
And Lebron has been nothing but class here in Miami. He has not spewed hate, he has handeled himself like a Pro. Bosh too. The guy is soft spoken and gives 100% effort. We have a special team in place and Pat Riley did it all.
Yeah Lebron and Wade cry about fouls....so does every single star player in this league...come on. We see it all the time. It's nothing new.
Bottom line is I am surprised that other than the "Decision" and the "July Rock Concert" what has the Heat really done to get people in such a tizzy? They have carried themselves like any great team IMO. They have overcome a couple of big injuries (Haslem, Miller) and held together through thick and thin. Not once has this team had any issues that have been destructive. They play great basketball. It can't be denied.
And Sunday.....all this chatter will cease again.
Hey I am glad this happened. I want the Heat to have to earn this. Going into Dallas...this Sunday is a huge game. And Champions respond to adversity. Dallas did a fantastic job last night. Now it is the Heats turn to officially make this a series by winning Sunday night.
