*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (2 Viewers)

jefferson is an instant upgrade at the 3 for the kings. I like, don't love the deal. The starting lineup at least looks NBA worthy now.
Give me Caspi, Greene, Garcia or slide Salmons to the 3 before I take on Jefferson's contract.Jefferson is one of the worst starting 3's in the league.
Raptors, Kings, Wizards, Cavs, Nets, Hornets, Clippers would have all been much improved with Jefferson at SF last year, and hes equivalent to what the Lakers, Warriors, Bucks, Magic and Jazz had last year. The small forward position blows in the NBA right now.

Knicks scared to part with Toney Douglas. The same Douglas that got shoved aside by Anthony Carter in the playoffs??

Humorous watching the Knicks faithful overrating their talent. Heaven forbid they look to deal a 'Top 100 player' like Landry Fields..

Eh, sort of. Technically wouldn't you say the LBJ, Melo, and Durant all play SF?
Heaven forbid they look to deal a 'Top 100 player' like Landry Fields..
:lmao:It never ceases to amaze me how untouchable guys are that could literally be traded out with a dozen other players and no one would notice.

I'd much, much rather have Wright than Jefferson. HTH.

i'd rather have a hard chair & a hemorrhoid at my 3 than Jeff. a run-out guy who dont run out anymore, who hangs the trey line but cant shoot 3s and avgs almost a rebound a game and almost stopped a guy in March - i saw it. thx, no -

Disregard my post about the 10 pick and Cavs...i Was not tjhinknig straight. Sorry. The Jefferson hate is :lmao: THe guy is very overpaid. But he's not horrible. He shot 44% from 3 this season and doesn't turn the ball over. You aren't winning a title with Jefferson as your best player, but he's certainly a better player then he's being talked about as in this thread. If he was making half as much money no one would say a thing. Toss in that NO ONE is signing in Sacramento as a FA any time soon and you're left with either drafting more young guys that never develop or taking on a veteran who can shoot a little, won't turn the ball over, and won't do something stupid.
I still think the Cavs are gonna be in the mix at 10 just like they apparently were for the 7. Obviously Jefferson is not involved.

They are all very good, but half the league sports SFs who should be coming off the bench.

So the Jazz now have Millsap, Favors, Jefferson, Kanter and Okur. If they keep all five, thats a hell of a big man rotation. I wonder what it would take to pry Millsap from them.

So Bilas has Jordan Hamilton as the 6th best left (or 9th best overall)....Really?! I mean, he was a solid college player, but he strikes me as a early 2nd/late 1st rounder..

...and there goes another Longhorn. I was surprised TThompson was projected outside of the top 10...Like his game, reminds me of Bynum with better knees.

I am now constructing a Grant doll to burn in effigy.

Great you love Thompson, trade down a little, idiot.

And as for the pick, the guy is an awful free throw shooter and needs tons of work on his face up shot.

At number 4 really? Really?

IDIOTS.

If Tristan thompson is the fourth best player in this draft then I'm not sure there is anything left to get excited about. He's a nice power forward. But he isn't anywhere near the talent of favors or cousins, much less an all NbA type IMO.

Not sure how you pass up a legit center there.
'12 is also stocked with great 3's and 4's, so yeah, might not be a good pick in terms of fit. Thompson and Hickson?
The Cavs are definitely in BPA mode at this point. You didn't really plan your franchise around J.J. Hickson. Now whether Thompson was the best available is a whole nother matter. If they wanted a forward I'd have gone Vesely.

No wonder this Lithuanian is considered such a good prospect. His highlight reel was him making wide open dunks and throwdowns in Istanbul apparently.
