*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (5 Viewers)

Terrible shot for James there.
You think? Early in the clock, but he was WIDE open. Not going to get a better look the whole possession.
Ball movement had been working quite well in prior possessions. Lakers are terrible defending when the ball moves.
Miami was 2-29 in the first half when the Lakers were able to get in there half court defense. Either way, if that falls, it's a dagger. Just ####### agree with me already Brit!

Kobe and Lebron both had 25 field goal attempts. One man scored 39, the other 22. Kobe is a better scorer though. Lebron is more of a 5 on 5 player...cerebral. Not a great scorer.

Final ASG voting is in, Lin missed the cut by about 45,000 votes but would have finished 5th in total voting in either the eastern or western conference above the 3rd front court player (either Griffin in the west or Garnett in the east).Backcourt: Kobe Bryant (1,591,437), Chris Paul (929,155), Jeremy Lin (883,809)Frontcourt: Kevin Durant (1,504,047), Dwight Howard (922,070), Blake Griffin (863,832)

Lin isn't likely to get picked as a reserve, which is fine. But a top 10 vote getter not being on the squad seems bizarre. Harden will make it for Houston I'm sure so the host team will have a representative.

I was at the game last night so I don't know how much off the ball stuff they showed on T.V., but I was blown away by how hard all the other guys (except for Wade) worked to get LeBron open. In the 1/2 court set they would run multiple high pics to free him up and if that somehow didn't work they'd reset and just try the same thing again until it did. They really emphasized this when Howard was out of the game, resulting in multiple layups for James, usually right over Gasol. As bad as Kobe was, I think Nash played worse. His decision making was really poor last night. Some of that I attribute to the aggressive double teams the Heat were throwing at him, but much of it was unforced.Good game to watch last night regardless.

Don't know what more Gentry could have done with this squad. The inevitable post-Nash slide was coming sometime. Glad it's coming now and not 2-3 years down the road if we kept Nash & continue to just be mediocre instead of very bad. Too many complimentary players. Suns need a few bad years to find a go to player.

Alvin Gentry and the Suns have agreed to "mutually part ways," according to a press release, and an interim coach is expected to be named in the next 24-48 hours.First of all, wow. Secondly, we can't say that it comes as a total surprise. Gentry's name has been mentioned by several when talking about coaches on the hot seat, and the Suns have had a miserable start to the season. Phoenix is 13-28 and last in the Pacific Division. Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the favorites for the interim coaching position are Elston Turner and Lindsey Hunter.

Was inevitable with him refusing to play Wes Johnson

Wes Johnson...continuing the legend of awesome Syracuse products in the NBA...

I thought Lin was going to get 50 gazillion votes or something.
He got ninth most in the league. That's not bad. Who did I bet? What email address do I send your $50 to?
:hey:

Got it. Frankly he has been too pedestrian to have won the spot. At some point even the Asian market is going to get bored with 12 and 6. That said, i am surprised that harden didn't appear to fare better.
