So the Chinese will vote for Asian-Asians, but not Asian-Americans?
But Houston is going to make MILLIONS by overpaying for him.
The worst point guard in the west got the 9th most all star votes. You tell me?
What is the conversion rate of all-star votes to dollars?
I don't have that info. But id be willing to bet that there is some correlation. Look at last years vote totals and last years jersey sales. Look at how many national games the rockets had scheduled before the harden trade. I realize you think it's a bad contract. But it's naive to think 8 million a year to Lin has the same economic impact as 6.6 million a year for Jameer Nelson.

Could be an intriguing formula. ASV * $ value per vote (maybe .05c?) / 39 (His PER ranking among PGs) / 5 (Because he isn't actually from China) They better rake it in quick cause he'll be anchored to the bench as soon as they get a competent PG or actually care about winning.

They have one of the best offenses in the league and are the youngest team in the league.

By one of the best, you mean 9th right? Think how much better they could do with a point guard who could shoot competently and not turn the ball over.

They are tied for most points per game with okc at 105.4.
Yes. They also play at the highest pace by a fair bit. In Off Eff they are 9th. A much better way to look at how good an offense is.OKC scores 5 more points per 100 than Houston. Calling them equals because they have the same PPG is ridiculous.

No, they'll vote for Chinese-Chinese, and probably Chinese-American. But not so much for Taiwanese-American and certainly not for any other Asian ethnicity player.

So Kobe Bryant isn't leading the league in scoring?
He sure is. But he isn't the best scorer. Your statement was that Houston was one of the best offenses, not the highest scoring team. Taking the most shots doesn't make you the best.EDIT:True or False: Houston is the worst defense in the league.

They are pretty awful. Would not be shocked to learn they are the worst at a number of metrics.

Raptors already with two apologies from the league this year for refs screwing up in final seconds (CHI on Wed and CHA earlier this year). Wonder if they get a third tonight when Anderson got pushed out of bounds on an inbound play with 5 seconds left.

They should apologize to people with common sense for that horrible baseline hologram they have.

Terrible shot for James there.
You think? Early in the clock, but he was WIDE open. Not going to get a better look the whole possession.
Ball movement had been working quite well in prior possessions. Lakers are terrible defending when the ball moves.
Miami was 2-29 in the first half when the Lakers were able to get in there half court defense. Either way, if that falls, it's a dagger. Just ####### agree with me already Brit!
Sure, if it falls its big. But it's a gamble that was not needed. Strange, I seem to remember several great passes resulting in open dunks. I guess those didn't count since Kobe never made it across the timeline?

The Lakers were show-timed. They used to be fun to watch.

Mike dantoni can't be foolish enough to bring gasol off the bench. Can he?
Simmons was intervieing S. Kerr on the BS Report this week and they were dumbstruck that Dantoni didn't know how sensitive Pau was. Pau has two rings and was one of the best player in the Olympics. What superstar would not feel disrespected? What a horrible hire. :wall:

He's not more sensitive than Lamar, and that move turned out to be brilliant.I'm not sold on Pau coming off the bench, but the idea that he get more minutes as the focal part of the 2nd unit instead of the 3 option with the first unit makes a lot of sense.

Valid points. But the Lakers were also winning when Odom was coming off the bench which colors a lot of attitudes.

An early trey is pretty much always a bad decision when you are getting 68 points in the paint.

Chicago is such an impressive team. So well coached. So tough and relentless. Their home/road splits are a bit peculiar, but this is a squad that is really friggin' good. Tom Thibodeau is the real deal. I would not want to meet them in the 1st round.

1. Lamar was not as good as gasol. 2. The coach at the time had the rings to back up his decisions.

True that.

Earl Clark is BALLIN!
So sorry your season has come to cheering for an average player in a road loss to Toronto.
No go to  from mopes?
What the hell does that even mean?
All his posts are like this, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure he's especially grumpy with the Niners game going.
Hold on a second.... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

There. Now you can talk about that one.
