Lakers:6-22 Kobe takes 20 or more shots12-3 Kobe takes less than 20 shots

Yes.Lets hear the list of recent free agents who have chosen LAL.Facts are also important, something that conservatives seem to ignore these days. Dwight can get more money from the Lakers than anyone else, and NO ONE leaves the Lakers by choice. It is the #1 free agent destination in the NBA.Yeah, but Dwight plays a factor in the whole thing as well. Liking what you do for a living is worth something, that's why so many liberal freaks spend hundreds of thousands being educated for jobs that don't pay anything.B/c I don't think the Lakers have any desire to get rid of Howard. He IS the franchise for the next 5 years starting in 18 months. And although he's disappointed thus far, it's clear that he's not healthy. Mitch usually sees the forest for the trees. I doubt he'll be swayed by 1/2 of a season with a new coach, new team, new system, and all the injuries and completely sour on Dwight. Why does Gunz completely disregard the possibility of a sign and trade for Howard? Isn't that a viable option for him to get paid and leave?![]()
Are you contesting the point that LA isn't the premier destination for NBA players?
Is this where you tell me that Kobe won't win any more championships, like you and everyone else did in 2004?Tommy, take Kobe out of your mouth. Jesus it's embarrassing to read.
Maybe on TNT the Friday before or something? I remember watching and I can guarantee I don't know how to find it on the Internet. One year (first year?) was outside with Durant and Joe Johnson I think. The other one was in a gym with Rondo and Durant.Really? It wasn't part of the typical Saturday night lineup, was it? I don't remember seeing it live and I'm sure I watched those years. It was on tv FWIW. I watched it. It was kind of fun. I remember Rondo shooting surprisingly well.It wasn't televised. It is on youtube if you want to watch it. Nothing special.Really? Wow, not sure how I missed that. They had HORSE is 08/09 and 09/10. Durant won it both years then they cancelled it.1. The NBA should absolutely put in Simmons idea of a game of HORSE. Seriously, how would that not be the most entertaining part of the weekend?2. The NBA is rolling in money so there is no motivation to do so, but imagine if they made the SLam Dunk cost where they gave a million to the winner and $10 million to the charity of the winner's choice? The reason the dunk contest sucks is not because everything has been done, but because no one cares about the participants. Chase Budinger isn't going to have legions of fans supporting him. Jordan and Nique were a dunkalicious rivalry. WOuldn't the scenario above get Westbrook and Blake and some decent names in it? What would they have to do to get the Big Fish in the contest? You have to know if LBJ entered than Westbrook and Melo and Griffin would follow. Can you imagine how electric that would be?Now that the all-star rosters are out, when do they announce the participants in the dunk and 3 point contest? Most importantly: they are gonna let Bonner shoot, right? How could they not?
Disagree. What about the year they beat the Celts in the finals? He was phenomenal that year, especially during the playoffs.Just not seeing it. For a guy with a horrible back still, Dwight's leading the league in rebounding, has 2.5 blocks a game, is shooting .576. But he's had to stand around and watch Kobe jack up 22 shots while he gets 10. This won't last. We've seen Kobe pass the ball in individual games before, but he can't bring himself to take this role long term. We'll see plenty more games where he chucks it up 27 times and Howard is sitting there with 6 attempts and everyone cries about how worthless he is since he only got 4 points that night and looked immature after he got tired of playing D all night long while Kobe plays turnstile on that end of the court saving his energy to play hero ball. It's kind of inevitable.Again, when the other guys show up, Kobe is happy to take a backseat. Unfortunately, Dwight and Pau have been MIA all season.Amazing how much better the Lakers look w/o him jacking up 25+ shots a game and him distributing the ball.Kobe currently 4th tonight on Lakers in FGA. Lakers as a team shooting 54%.Doesn't matter what Kobe does
No, this is where I'm telling you that you've taken on a jmon and KobeDoll level of obsession. Is this where you tell me that Kobe won't win any more championships, like you and everyone else did in 2004?Tommy, take Kobe out of your mouth. Jesus it's embarrassing to read.
This is obviously because when the Lakers are losing and the rest of the team is sucking, Kobe tries to shoot them back in the game. When the rest of the team is playing well and the Lakers are winning, Kobe doesn't shoot as much.Lakers:6-22 Kobe takes 20 or more shots12-3 Kobe takes less than 20 shots![]()

#HeroBallWho cares? They will be one and done. Probably swept if they play OKC.I still believe the Lakers will make the playoffs.
Come on.Rockets played their best game in a month. Lin had a nice game finally (13 points, 5 boards, 8 assists, 7 steals). But the key once again was getting something out of the power forward (in this case Patterson)Also watched okc and Sacramento. The harden/Martin trade appears to be one that worked out well for both teams.
If Kobe was winning titles by himself, they wouldn't have parted with a fork load of cash for Nash and Howard. This schtick is pretty dumb.Is this where you tell me that Kobe won't win any more championships, like you and everyone else did in 2004?Tommy, take Kobe out of your mouth. ?Kevin Martin has played well for okc. They aren't exactly missing harden and they have the picks plus lamb. And the rockets are contending for a playoff spot with harden.Come on.Rockets played their best game in a month. Lin had a nice game finally (13 points, 5 boards, 8 assists, 7 steals). He averaged 22 shots a game in those playoffs and took less than 20 shots in 6 of 23 playoff games. (4 were 19 shot games). He was definitely great that year, but it didn't have much to do with him not jacking up a ton of shots. In his defense he only had one HOFer who he had to share the ball with back then.Disagree. Scola and Martin for Wilt Chamberlain.Martin couldn't guard either of us.?Kevin Martin has played well for okc. They aren't exactly missing harden and they have the picks plus lamb. Agree. But he is doing a good job in okc. Would they be better with harden? Maybe, but it hasn't been a huge drop off.Martin couldn't guard either of us.?Kevin Martin has played well for okc. Shved, Pek, Love, Roy, Lee, Budinger. With so many injuries their options are pretty limited. The twolves looks awful. Starting Rubio and ridnour makes for some rough defensive matchups in the backcourt. That team could use a shooting guard in a bad way.
Yeah, even adelman was out last night. Still, even when healthy they need an upgrade at the 2.Shved, Pek, Love, Roy, Lee, Budinger. They expected more from Roy. Still Shved has some nice games. He's coming around.Yeah, even adelman was out last night. Moral of the story: DO NOT GO TO DUNKIN DONUTS.That Chris Herren movie is awesome. Holy ####.
Not sure what that exactly does for teams. It gets Memphis out of Gay's deal, and Pierce only has 5 million guaranteed next year if they choose to cut him, but Pierce doesn't put them over the top in the west. Lakers get worse defensively and add some not real needed offense, and commit to Clark as full time PF. Celtics get some needed inside presence and Gasol lets KG move to the 4 for many match-ups, but it means a whole lot more of Jeff Green (and he is terrible).Celtics won't be trading Pierce.
Pierce is retiring a Celtic.Guy is quickly becoming a cancer.Worst part is 2 organizations have complete catered to him. (Drove Sloan out. Cried for Gerald Wallace for the #6 pick (Lillard) in a lost season. Drove Avery out)And BTW, Deron's play has rapidly declined already. And they're stuck with Johnson's and Wallace's awful contracts for another 3 seasons. Surprising Lopez has played as well as he has. Let's see how he's doing another 2-3 years down the line.Deron Williams is a grade A unapologetic dooshbag.
Harden is without a doubt on a completely different level than Martin as a basketball player. Martin is just terrible on defense and he has had some rough stretches on offense. Having said that, would OKC be better this year if they hadn't made the trade? Probably, but who really knows. The biggest reason that they are better this year compared to last year is because Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka have all improved by quite a bit. Would that have happened to this degree if they still had Harden? I'd say probably, but again who really knows. There is a lot of overlap between Harden, Westbrook, and Durant. Given that OKC doesn't want to pay the tax, I think it was an inevitability that they weren't going to be able to keep all 4 guys together. The writing was on the wall not only when they re-signed Ibaka this summer, but when they agreed to an extension with Westbrook last year. You could argue that they should have kept Harden over either of those two but apparently Presti didn't think so. So then the question becomes when do you get rid of Harden? Do you play out this year and worry about it once the season is over? Or do you try to make a trade while you still have some leverage and you can get pieces back that will help this year (Martin) and down the road (Lamb, the pick, no tax)? I'm not really sure how to answer all of that but I think at this point Presti deserves the benefit of the doubt. They still have a shot at the title this year, probably as good of a shot as anyone else in the West.Agree. But he is doing a good job in okc. Would they be better with harden? I'm not so sure of this. I doubt he goes somewhere like Memphis, but I can see Ainge trading him this offseason to the Clippers. Celtics roster just didn't come together this year, and with KG and Pierce getting a year older, it may be time to shake things up.Celtics won't be trading Pierce.Pierce is retiring a Celtic.
Lakers should do this in a heartbeat.Rumor ofLA gets GayBOS gets GasolMEM gets PierceNot sure what that exactly does for teams. It gets Memphis out of Gay's deal, and Pierce only has 5 million guaranteed next year if they choose to cut him, but Pierce doesn't put them over the top in the west. Rudy Gay is not that good. Not sure why LA would want himWell, the other two teams aren't likely to be interested. Memphis might go for gay/gasol though.
Gay is like the middle income Kobe.Lakers should do this in a heartbeat.Rumor ofLA gets GayBOS gets GasolMEM gets PierceNot sure what that exactly does for teams. It gets Memphis out of Gay's deal, and Pierce only has 5 million guaranteed next year if they choose to cut him, but Pierce doesn't put them over the top in the west. Definitely possible but I don't think it happens unless they completely clean house. And if they're doing that, KG and Rondo would be the ones to go first.I'm not so sure of this. Raptors' uniforms every night: :X

Jack Armstrong. Fields has actually been fairly decent lately. A couple nice double doubles this month. Moves the ball decently and doesn`t screw up... expect when he shoots.Who is the Rap's color guy Cliff? He seems to be a big Landry Fields fan.
Some guy named Larry Foust. Also Gary Payton, who is eligible this year I think.edit: also Dikembe Mutombo (who probably won't make it) and Yao Ming (who might make it with help from his international work). So apparently Bosh came out and said he is a HOF'er. Might just be me, but he sure as hell doesn't belong in the hall. But... only 1 other player who was an 8+ time all-star is not in the hall (not sure who they were talking about).
http://tracking.si.com/2013/01/27/miami-chris-bosh-thinks-he-is-hall-of-famer/The only eligible player in history with eight or more NBA All-Star selections who is not in the Hall is eight-time pick Larry Foust, a center who averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds from 1950-62.So apparently Bosh came out and said he is a HOF'er. Might just be me, but he sure as hell doesn't belong in the hall.

Iverson as well, but he'll obviously make it. Vince Carter is another. A few guys sitting at 7 who people seem to think won't make it - McGrady and Hill are in that mix. Some guy named Larry Foust. Another ring and he is in. Unfortunately. So apparently Bosh came out and said he is a HOF'er. Might just be me, but he sure as hell doesn't belong in the hall. But... only 1 other player who was an 8+ time all-star is not in the hall (not sure who they were talking about).
