Would you rather have Michael Jordan in his prime at 28 or a rookie Gary Payton? That's about what this is. And it's really not even close. Guys at that top tier of the "All Time Greats" make such a gigantic difference compared to the ones a tier below them like Kobe that you simply take that guy when you have some reasonable tread left on the tires no questions asked.

So if you had a re-draft of every player in the league, Rose goes over Irving? I don't know. There are going to be a lot of injury concerns going forward with Rose just b/c of the way he plays. Irving has similar concerns but he doesn't take the beating that Rose does and he isn't coming off major knee surgery. We can debate Rose 2010 versus Kyrie now all we want but at the moment, it is Rose now versus Kyrie now in which case, Rose is a much bigger question mark.

After watching the Knicks the last bunch of games, i think the old Amare (pre-Melo) is coming back. The player who is playing 20 minutes a game and the player I watched last year are totally different. This year Amare really is getting off smart shots and not forcing many clunkers and settling for 20 footers like he did all of last year. Melo is still resorting to Iso heavy Melo when the games get tight, but he is at least to my eyes making more of an effort to give up the ball whenever he gets a hard double team while last year he would have taken a wild J or gone to the rim and thrown up an errant layup.

He stated that Kyrie is the best guard to come into the league hands down since Chris Paul, and with Rose offered as a counterpoint he went on to say that MVP Rose was completely overrated and that today Kyrie is better than MVP Rose.Completely agree that we have no clue today, and I would imagine the majority of GM's (if not all of them) would take Kyrie since the floor is higher in comparison to a guy with a reconstructed knee that we haven't seen play since. No, they fouled twice after this including once 80 feet from the basket. Two of them were intentional fouls like you see at the end of the game. The first one was Draymond Green got pump faked, went flying by and sort of clothes lined the guy. Lead to some ejections and some extra curriculars but in a weird way, I care less about that and more about intentionally fouling down 40. At least Green was trying and he was actually playing defense but down 40, the whole thing seemed bush league.

This is rather common practice in the NBA when the scrubs get some run. They are trying to score. If Houston wasn't going for the record, does Jackson foul? Doubtful.ETA: When Orlando set the record, they were petty much doing the exact same. They shot 3 3PA's in the last 1:06 of the game.
