Do you think the Spurs or the Heat have cuter players? It's going to be a tight series. Still think Spurs will do it. Timmy was sick today. Hope he gets better for Wed!

Rewatched it. Even more surprising the dude has almost a full beer. How the hell do you still have beer left after double OT game. Beer sales have been done for an hour.Saw that as wel lolDid you see the girl reaching down her boyfriend's pants after the game? Right after they showed Ginobili run into the tunnel you'll see a hispanic couple walking out. Guy has a beer. His girlfriend is behind him and reaches down his pants, grabs his johnson. lol

Haralabos saying it was Jack, not Barnes, that left Ginobili. Absolutely no rational or sensible reason to do that.
It is because now the Heat and Spurs have more serious contenders than before!Life is tough for Spurs, Heat, and Lakers fan. May have gone without a championship team once or twice in the past decade.Makes sense though since all 3 cities are all so close together.
I don't know. I took Donaghy at face value and then the fact that after this came out, people poured through games and really couldn't find too much, I tend to believe he just bet based on the other refs.I think Donaghy is completely full of #### and not above making something like that up in an effort to sell books or something. I believe he still maintains that he never did anything on-court to influence games, which is pretty obviously not true. He's a degenerate.I assume you think Bavetta's not a likely candidate because he's had a long career. But if he's a fixer for Stern, wouldn't that also lead to a long career?I think the bad officiating had an impact on the game but I don't think there was a top-down conspiracy or anything. If you wanted something done would **** Bavetta really be the guy you called?6 points is a lot in a basketball game. A 6 point favorite is going to win about 72-74% of the time, right? A 22% difference in win probability is not insignificant. Here is a good article on Lakers Kings game 6. A poorly officiated game no doubt but I agree with the author and Tim.
#### this game btw.
Similarly, we know that Donaghy's crooked: So does he make baseless claims because he needs to sell books, or does he make legitimate claims because he doesn't have anything to lose...and he needs to sell books?

No... Wasn't a bulls fan when it was Jordan era... Have only liked 3 teams and now it's down to 2. Why is that weird? Everyone just likes 1 team? You can't like more than 1 because of players and/or coaches? What if the Bulls beat the Heat? Read through this and let me know if you still think that. The idea that a guy who had a gambling addiction bet on games and then reffed them straight-up is laughable to me.I don't know. Give me a break. Just a few posts up a Heat fan is complaining about how "Lebron got mugged all night and didn't complain." Never mind that Lebron whined the entire night or that the Heat abused the Bulls on the other end all night. What this shows is that Heat fans are used to seeing their team get all the calls. Lebron and Wade whined and complained and threw fits all night. They're not used to not getting calls every time someone looks at them funny. In last year's playoffs the Pacers won the first two physical games where the refs called straight games and let them play playoff basketball. Then magically the Reffing crews that called the most fouls got assigned to the games and the foul disparity got lopsided. The same thing will happen here. I mean, remember earlier this season where Lebron went like 4 or 5 games without getting a foul called on him?Don't ever expect anyone to take you seriously when you write stuff like this.Bosh was invisible all game. The guy is the definition of soft.Miami will still win the series. The refs will make sure of that. Bet Noah fouls out in the 3rd quarter next game. And I loathe Dwayne Wade. What a gigantic whiner. It's unbelievable how the ref a let him get away with it and don't hand him way more technicals for all his whining and yelling at them. So much for the NBA cutting down on that.Big win for the Bulls, but how stupid is Bosh? Late in the game, he had Noah in the air, and instead of leaning into him to get two foul shots and give Noah his 6th, he ducks out of the way and takes an awful shot which misses badly.

Fell asleep damnit... apparently they gave GSW a longer leash than I thought before they decided to reel 'em back in.GSW en fuego, but they can't seem to gain any meaningful ground.
They cool off, Spurs win by 10 going away.
Yeah, but the flip side is that this sort of night doesn't happen very often and the process is far too long. The playoffs started more than two weeks ago and the only even that had any bearing on who would win the title before last night was the Westbrook injury. The entire NCAA tournament takes place during approximately the same amount of time between the start of these NBA playoffs and their first interesting results.Such an amazing night. It still blows my mind that there are so many people out there that would rather watch the NCAA tournament.Watching Curry and Noah beat a bunch of 19 YOs was cute, but nothing compared to watching them try to take down an old and new NBA dynasty, respectively.

Assisted by the excellent stadium muzak in San Antonio.Holy crap this is one of the best Game 1's ever.
Not only do they always play music but its always terrible. The ingame music has been atrocious at Spurs games since i was a young'n.Your post doesnt do the game or series justice GB. Looks like Jack got fouled on that drive
Interesting with respect to who wins the title, not just interesting because they're good games or series. None of the "great" first rounders had any real relevance to who wins it all, other than maybe the Clips/Grizz. The champ is gonna either be the Heat, Spurs, Grizz, with the Thunder or Knicks/Pacers having a very very small shot at it. At any point did you really think any of those teams was in serious danger of not advancing (again, other than maybe the Grizzlies)? Contrast it with the NCAA tournament, where possible champions are eliminated constantly and are in danger of elimination even more.First interesting results? I miss half the playoff games because they start so late. I'm sure last nights game was great but I'll be damned if I am staying up till 1 am to watch it. Plus at this point the ncaa tournament was about to wrap up. Nba just getting started. It's a looooooooooooooooooong process.Supposedly they were switching on every screen on that play.Barnes didn't switch because he thought he had fought through the screen and didn't need to switch.Good Posting Judge, on 07 May 2013 - 00:25, said:

I'm not saying that its ridiculous that anyone would prefer the single elimination style tournament, but there's a lot of meaningless games in the ncaa tournament as well, if our criteria is whether the ultimate national champion is affected (which I think is a poor definition of interesting, at least as a big fan of the sport).Interesting with respect to who wins the title, not just interesting because they're good games or series. Contrast it with the NCAA tournament, where possible champions are eliminated constantly and are in danger of elimination even more. I'm a former college basketball guy who's been fully converted to the NBA, so you don't have to convince me which game is better. But to say you can't understand why people would prefer a single elimination tournament decided over 18 days to a playoff structure that takes two months? Where the three week long first round could probably be eliminated because the champ always comes from the top four seeds? I mean, I prefer the NBA playoffs too, but I can certainly see how fans would prefer the NCAA show.First interesting results? Poor choice of words from me. Of course, it makes sense that the NCAA tourney is exciting for a lot of people.Single elimination and a format custom built for Sue in accounting to get excited.Just not for me (unless the Heels are making a run)TobiasFunke, on 07 May 2013 - 10:51, said:

at the end of your post is gonna come across as you intended. This is hilariously bad. I mean, all ref conspiracy theories are hilariously bad. But the idea that the refs would conspire to advance LeBron over the Chicago Bulls, the only NBA team in the third-largest market in the country? And that the only reason the Heat beat the Pacers last tear was because of foul calls? And you also got your facts wrong because the Heat won game 1 of that series?
is right"Looks like he played in 61 games?"**** Stockton doesn't have any notes about Bazemore
I'll ask you the same question I asked Tim. Do you think NBA superstars get preferential treatment?I don't think thatat the end of your post is gonna come across as you intended. is right
I'm not Tim or Tobias, but I do think the refs can be influenced by the reputation of a player and, yes, superstars are more likely to get calls than scrubs. However, I think it is due to human error, not some type of conspiracy.I'll ask you the same question I asked Tim. is right
Not really. They might get a tiny bit of benefit thanks to some subconscious bias of the refs, but 95% of what people complain about is actually because the superstars are just that- superstars. They're better than everyone else so they beat them to spots and know how to draw contact on the offensive end and avoid fouls on the defensive end.I'll ask you the same question I asked Tim. Exactly. Makes no sense at all.pollardsvision said:Yeah, the conspiracy stuff is pretty silly.
That would make about as much sense as shooting someone over a pack of gum. The catastrophic downside just doesn't justify any minor, short-term benefit.
