Derrick Rose with a PER of 1.7 through 3 games. He's been absolutely putrid. It doesn't seem physical; he's as athletic as ever. He just seems to have lost the ability to make proper decisions, particularly when penetrating. You expect rust after not playing for a year and a half (not even pick-up games) but this amount of rustiness is shocking. He looked good during preseason. I guess that shows how much of a difference there is between the preseason and regular season.
It often seems like he is thinking to slow for how fast he is going. He isn't letting the game come to him either. He is pushing the issue in disadvantageous situations.
The other troubling aspect is the spacing of the offense. They don't seem to know what to do with Butler and Deng together. They do have plenty of time to get it together. But dropping games like Saturday could be a problem in seeding in the end. And the Bulls need the #1 seed more than the Heat do to succeed.
