Well ####. Lance it is then.I'm not sure Ariza will be cheaper than those guys.Hey, what kind of offer are you guys going to make for Ariza?
Trying to figure out if it makes more sense to get a cheaper Ariza instead of a Deng/Stephensen type. Cho needs my recommendation by the end of the week.![]()

You might be better off. Ariza is a nice asset but his value was significantly inflated by John Wall, as explained here.Well ####. Lance it is then.I'm not sure Ariza will be cheaper than those guys.Hey, what kind of offer are you guys going to make for Ariza?

I'd say most CHA fans are against getting Stephenson*. Him being a ####head doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't fault Cho for passing on him, especially the closer he gets to requiring a max offer. As a player, he's really exactly what CHA desperately needs. I'd love it if his being an ####### created a discount, but I'm sure we won't get so lucky. You might be better off. Of course there's the uncomfortable situation you're put in rooting for a guy like Stephenson, that's no picnic either.
Pitch Deng, I guess?

*Of course, many seem to be under the impression that Afflalo could be had by just swapping the 9th and 12th draft picks. Some seem to be under the impression that Klay could be had with an equally ridiculous deal.
I'm not terribly opposed to Deng, but I think I'd rather just stand pat if he's the only option. Making a big expenditure on a guy that's 28 and doesn't really spread the floor like we need just doesn't make much sense to me.
They aren't that young and impressionable. Ben Gordon and Luke Ridnour both have lots of experience.Beyond any moral reservations one might have about rooting for Lance, do you really want him in the locker room every day with a young and impressionable team like Charlotte?
Well, I take it back then. In Gordon and Ridnour they certainly have a solid group of savvy and strong willed veterans who will maintain their organization's culture of winning even if they add a hot head in FA.They aren't that young and impressionable. Must win for OKC. Spurs in 5 if they win tonight. Spurs in 7 if OKC wins tonight. Keep the faith fool!any thoughts on the tilt tonight? OKC showed some grit the other night. SA having flashbacks to '12?
I'm convinced rooting for the Spurs and Heat is a shtick.Let's go Spurssssssssssssssssssssssss!![]()
Why? I've been rooting for both of them for years now..I'm convinced rooting for the Spurs and Heat is a shtick.Let's go Spurssssssssssssssssssssssss!![]()
Well it was a stupid question. They are down 6. They suck so far. End of interview.Love the pop interviews.
And. Stars win games. Basketball is a young man's game. The Spurs big three can not win this. The Spurs who were a Kawhi Leonard FT away from winning last year?Heat will win this again. They are what you think the Spurs are.
Nope OKC will take the west.Never ceases to amaze me how much home court matters in the NBA playoffs. Teams seem to play with so much more energy at home.
ibaka's return - not quite willis reed style - to OKC for these past two games has made homecourt matter.home court is the real mvpSo Serge Ibaka is the real MVP?
You think Joe Gibbs would like to coach basketball?I have seen my future, and it is long twos and curses muttered under my breath. My condolences.I'm trying to imagine the negotiations.
"You better give me at least three years or I'm outta here- I've got a number of assistant coach offers pending, and several NBDL teams have expressed interest."
it feels like he is missing every 3 and is scared to shoot themUh, no.So Serge Ibaka is the real MVP?
They might. And Miami might win in 5 too. But it doesn't change what I'm talking about. Teams just seem to play with much more energy when they're home.Nope OKC will take the west.Never ceases to amaze me how much home court matters in the NBA playoffs. You're right. Just my impression I guess.Home teams are 44-35 in these playoffs, which means they are winning 56% of the time. That is not overwhelming.
Isn't it also an outlier season in the playoffs compared to recent history in regards to away team wins? I'm just talking out of my ### here without stats, maybe i'm wrong. You're right. More like top 7 with room to spare.Tim Duncan is easily a top 20 player all time correct?
Spurs were down 12 with 11 minutes left and he never came into the game. They were down 12 with 4 minutes left, so it never really got out of hand during that time.
What the hell was Pop doing? Am I missing something?
Agreed. My point being, down 12 with 11 to play, you put a top 10 all time player in and win the game. Just terrible coaching. Pop will act like he's above the criticism and he's smarter than everybody in the presser but he was wrong tonight.More like top 7 with room to spare.Tim Duncan is easily a top 20 player all time correct?

I watch very few NBA games a year so you know more than me but having an all time player like Duncan, 12 points isn't all that much to overcome.Okay. but you act like putting Duncan back in would have guaranteed a win; it wouldn't have. The Thunder weren't getting beat by anyone tonight, and I like Pop's move of benching his starters for the rest of the game, considering the shellacking they were taking.
Like all coaches, Pop has his moments. See also: Game 6 in last year's FinalsJust terrible coaching. Pop will act like he's above the criticism and he's smarter than everybody in the presser but he was wrong tonight.

Don't ever underestimate the genius of Scotty Brooks. He orchestrated this entire hoax.Ibaka makes such a big difference. What kind of training staff declares a guy out for at least a month then has him ready to play three days later?
Pretty sure you're right. The 1st round was pretty strange and highly unusual.Isn't it also an outlier season in the playoffs compared to recent history in regards to away team wins?
