More Cousins technicals or Laker wins?
:softball:

More team assists for the Lakers or shots for Kobe?
More wins: 76ers or Lakers
No trolling but I'd take the 6ers
I'd have to agree, mostly because they play in the East.
Down the stretch, I don't think Kobe can reign in his desire to put up points against bad teams. Whereas I think every Sixer will be all-in on the tank.
I'm not totally certain of which of your scenarios leads to more losses, but I think it might be option 1.
The irony... Kobe is actually doing whats best for the Lakers right now.

You know what would be awesome? The Lakers suck all year on tank mode and end up with the third worst record. During the lottery, 3 teams move up, pushing the Lakers down to the 6th pick, at which point Phoenix gets their 1st round pick.

Epic!

Good spot for the early-season Popping of the stars, IMO. Away, on the home court of a red-hot opponent where you're going to be a dog anyway, against a team you're likely to be facing off against for seeding/playoffs later in the year. Roll over, and if you lose, so what? And if you win, lol.

Yup. I blame that one on the NBA and the networks. They shouldn't be scheduling teams on the tail end of back-to-backs for national TV appearances. Even if the teams don't rest players the quality of play is gonna suffer. Wizards/Pacers on Wednesday night on ESPN was Exhibit A. Ugly, ugly basketball.

I'm not sure they can really avoid it though since they basically have games every night. I also assume (hope?) Pop sometimes does it just to spite everyone.

Yeah, I think ultimately the way to avoid it is to have fewer back to backs by rearranging the schedule and starting the regular season after two weeks of preseason, if that.

Or less extreme- just don't do it on Thursday nights when the TNT game is usually the only option or close to that. I was forced to watch some of that Browns-Bengals game last night, for God's sake.

They can certainly make those 2 games be non-back-to-backers (or be the initial game of a back-to-back). The rest of the schedule, I'm less concerned with

Cavs lose to Nuggets tonight.

I'm going for the ultra rare reveerse Gunz of the reverse Gunz here.

Thunder with 8 possibly 9 players tonight if Lamb can play vs. the Grizzlies? Oof.

They were granted some sort of injury exception and allowed to sign Ish Smith. So there's that.

Excited for tonight's backcourt duel, Cliff? Gonna be interesting to see if the other three guys can raise their game to Garrett Temple's level.
Should be a good one. My early projections have Lowry going for 30/5/10, Derozan with 35/8/5 and Wall and Shirley Temple combining for 15/2/2.
Interesting projections. Here's mine.
Isn't it a little early for playoff projections?

Interesting game plan from the Wiz. Send Pierce out to drop an elbow in Lowry's face. Guess they know they have zero chance if Lowry is playing.

I knew the Wolves couldn't have a good season. Pretty sure Rubio just broke his ankle.
Uuuuuuuuuugggghhhhh!
Someone claims this is a closeup from the game (no way for me to confirm, but looks legit). Little stomach churning, fair warning. If that's true, he's done for the year, I'd think.

EDIT: ####. (pic warning)

Beat writer is saying he doesn't think its broken, but jesus, I don't see how not.

Team is claiming sprained ankle, to be evaluated tomorrow. Cynic in me is that they don't want to crush fans that quickly, sell a few more tickets if they can.

Looks like I was a little generous thinking Wall and Temple would combine for 15 points.

Listening to the Simmons/House O/U podcast right now. Got me wanting to try my luck. Bolding my high confidence choices for kicks.

DEN: 42.5 - Over (The Faried confidence thing, Danilo healthy again, a real SG, moving on from "McGee is a starter" narrative)
Nailed it. :headbang:
