Yep. I think that was a good loss for the Dubs. Put them in their place and made them realize they have to take care of the ball if they want to contend.
Since then they've won 9 in a row and turnovers are down from 20ish to 14ish I think.

Wade is off balance and the defender is in his landing space because he jumped straight into the defender. Watch the vine and ask if Wade could have gone straight up and down or close to it- answer is clearly yes. Wade is blatantly obvious about it- first he does the "spread the arms wide so it makes it look like the defender hit your forearm" routine, then when he realizes Beal is nowhere near his arms he tries to grab him by the shorts so Beal will fall on him. Vines are somewhat limited because you can't see the setup, but I assure you this was a comically obvious flop.Doesn't seem like a definite no call, and certainly not a flop. Not complaining about it- flops like this where you initiate contact on a shot attempt are part of the game (most of the game, in James Harden's world) and refs are human. I just enjoy calling out the funny ones.

Beal's not set and he's not in front of Wade - Beal actually starts slightly behind Wade and moves to try to get in front of him while Wade is in the air. Whether Wade lands on the balls of his feet first, he's still off balance enough that it doesn't take a conscious effort to fall afterwards. Wade's probably trying to draw contact, but it's not a super egregious instance of that. Not really worth the attention Tobes is giving it.

I don't think I'd personally call it a flop, but it's definitely not a foul on Beal. Thunder-Pelicans tonight is easily the must-watch game of the season so far. Kinda surprised NBA TV can't make a late call to switch their coverage to this one over the winner of the fan night voting. Seriously doubt anyone would complain.

Not that it would likely hurt NBA TV but you must not know Raptors fans. If there's a fan vote with a Raps game as an option a huge group from realgm swarms to alter the vote.

Rudy is gonna remember his Toronto days and just chuck for us tonight. Also Im sure well defend Cousins with ease. <_< At least Id imagine in our favor will be the PG matchup, Lowry has gone in the post a fair bit lately and I cant imagine Collison can hang with him there.

My brother and I were having a discussion and we somehow ended up trying to name the NBA players we'd be the least surprised if they died one night due to something off the court. Our list, in no order: Cousins, Bird Man, Brandon Jennings, Stephen Jackson (if he's still in the NBA), and J.R. Smith.

Best thing ever that the Warriors sent him to the dumpster fire of a basketball team that was Milwaukee so that he could opt out, then take less money to play for a real team with a real coach in Dallas.
As an aside: I can't seem to figure out when it is ok to get a defender in the air and then jump into him and when it isn't. Seems totally arbitrary when there are calls and when there are not.

They haven't beaten anyone all too impressive over the last 9 games, but going 9-0 over any stretch in the NBA is tough. Especially with road b2b's.

Agreed. I thought Parsons got screwed on the non call. That was basically a 5 point swing assuming he made all the free throws.
