I think Phoenix and OKC, and the Bucks won.

Short term: Miami! Dragic feeding Wade, Bosh, Whiteside. I say they are a contender in the weak East.

They look good on paper, but health concerns and lack of chemistry probably keep them from being a serious threat.

Bosh and Wade have pretty good chemistry by now. I agree with health concerns of course. Playoff basketball as we all know is totally different than regular season. Whiteside is a freak of nature and a huge difference maker in my opinion. I wouldn't want to play against this team. I'd say they are better than Charlotte, Milwaukee, and Washington. So top 4 I think qualifies as 'contender'. We will see if the great regular season records of like Atlanta and Toronto carry into playoffs. Still a ways to go...should be fun.

Well, being better than Charlotte, Washington and Milwaukee still only leaves them at #5 (ATL, TOR, CHI, CLE). But in any event, I'd say being Top 4 qualifies you as a contender if you're seeded in the Top 4. But it's a much tougher trick to pull from the 7 or 8 seed. You're playing a leading contender right out of the gate, will probably have to face two more to reach the Finals, and you won't have home court for any of it.

That is how I feel, I think Jackson is a guy that is worth 12 to 14 per. You already know a team like the Knicks are going to come in and offer him way too much money. They need to get something worked out before the end of the year.

I love it also. It's hard to explain to non-Sixers fans but I am much more invested the last couple years than any other Sixers team since AI left. Watching Eeyore Iguodala launch bad shots and mope about it after the game on a team going nowhere was soul crushing. Hinkie's plan may end in disaster but it's kind of a fun ride.

He did, and it extended his career after a lot of his other skills eroded. It's yet to be seen how much of an offensive force that a Noel or Embiid will be. You can almost never have too much shooting.

Love this so much. Ricky is already effusive on twitter about learning under KG. IMO, this is exactly what the Wolves need going forward, an all-time franchise great vet player that is willing to educate the young guys. This could also help them with Wiggins long-term, as it shows the Wolves are willing to stick by "their guys" (of which Kevin Love never was). Anything he contributes on the court is pure gravy.

So at the end of the day my Nuggets have a some draft picks that they will never use, three bench players who are FA at the end of the year, 20 million or so in trade exceptions that mean nothing because not one "known" star is going to sign in Denver and a team with a record that puts it multiple games shy of a playoff berth, but yet not bad enough to have a shot at a good ping pong ball.

It will be difficult for the Heat to make the 6th seed. They might be a favorite as a 7th seed againt Toronto, but not as an 8th seed against the Hawks. Going from the worst PG situation inthe NBA to a top 10 or better. If healthy, the Heat will be a challenge for most teams.

i just got done with a long drive and yes the Philly sports radio was on fire. the thought is that the 3 top PGs in the draft are possible selections between 2-6 and that maybe the Sixers thought all 3 of them were better then MCW. The biggest grab from this though is that, as it lines up right now, the Sixers are set up to be absolute beasts for the 2016 free agent class which everyone is in love with. Sixers will easily be the only team in the league to be able to sign 3 top players, and you could potentially have a monster team with the 4-5 young guys they have and 3 possible legit studs

While overall I trust in him, I do think that there is an actual possibility that he is doing all of this in an effort to absolve himself of responsibility for as long as humanly possible and keep his job without having any need to win.

trading MCW and KJ is leaving a lot of the 6'ers fan less patient. they will need to hit pretty good in the upcoming draft and get better then 20 wins next season or the patience will begin wearing thin fast. it is the thing where Hinkie still has a lot of supporters but it won't be a slow descend. if it starts to look bleak and worse it will drop fast
