NCAA Basketball Thread - 2022-3 Season (1 Viewer)

Purdue looked slow compared to almost everyone they played this year. They just couldn't execute against FDU.

Maryland got their expected slap-down against Bama. They needed to shoot lights-out to hang around and couldn't do it.
Talent takes over in the tournament. Purdue doesn’t have talent. Morton wouldn’t be starting or playing for any other Big Ten teams. Painter finds a way to piece it together during the season with game plans and tactics. I just don’t think they could maintain the effort and toughness the entire year. I don’t have any other words right now because it’s so embarrassing and disappointing. This makes me reconsider all of my fandom and just checking out forever. Ugggggggggg

I don't know why players keep going for 2 when they're down like 6 with 20 seconds left. Kentucky keeps going for the easy 2, then fouling a guy that's automatic from the line. Not near enough time to chip away at the lead, I don't get it.

Rooting against Tom Izzo tonight, nothing against the great kids who attend, solid if not amazing fan base but I will be irked by his relentless bitching at the refs all game

Honestly just want to see a great basketball game, Izzo has been part of NCAA history but in recent years I've lost a little bit of respect for how he handles his business.

8:40 tip off
Hoosiers Pt II-The Canes Boogaloo
It will be sweet or a bitter pill but to play a historically well respected Indiana will be an honor
Hope the Canes are up for the challenge tonight as an underdog.

FDU +15.5 tonight, anyone feeling brave?
FAU-Boca Raton barely won opening round
Like the FAU team but 15.5 is way too many IMO for a team that's not used to being at this point in the season.

wow MOP ...any Canes fan talking about "how someone conducts themselves" is beyond stretching it

remember there's a bunch of old farts in here - and we remember very clearly how the Canes football team "conducted" themselves

The Spartans have played extremely well tonight
Good jokes, well received

Cheers!

That number is ripe for a backdoor cover, so I just took FAU 1H -8.5. Good offense v bad defense, so just hit your 3's and cash in early.

Good job MSU, it's been a difficult journey the last many weeks now, I'm sure a lot of folks are very happy for you tonight
I would guess the national media is going to show you a lot of love in the next couple days leading up to the Sweet 16
Good Luck

Wow. So proud of these Spartans. That was a big win over an extremely good team. They average 80 pts a game, State held them to 60.

I think they’ve found their defensive mojo.

ON to the S16

wasn't meant in a mean-spirited way bud ...but gdammit - I sure didn't like those teams back in the day.

Why do they have high school announcers doing the Creighton/Baylor game? Almost unwatchable with the sound on

Do the announcers of every FDU game have to point out every 10 minutes that they are the shortest team in the country? Hell of a dog fight going on in this one.

Do they just not teach kids to follow their shots, at all, anymore? Seen so many missed shots that would've been 2nd possessions. And it's not like it's been to get back on D.

I expect it in the NBA, but in such critical one and done games they'll likely never be in again?

In like the last 5 minutes alone, the Zags had three 3-pointers where the long rebound went right to where the shooter could've been, with nobody there. Balls were run down by TCU, good for them.

They literally didn't take one step towards getting the board. It's all teams but that sequence was particularly obvious, and costly with buckets on the other end for TCU.

Been yelling at my TV about this all weekend.

That's why Warren Buffet offers a Billion dollars each year to anyone that has a perfect bracket, it will never happen

For sake of argument we'll use 8 billion people. If every one of those 8 billion people submitted 8 billion unique brackets each, (8 Billion x 8 Billion) it would still take like 150 years to get a perfect bracket. And that would take 8 billion people submitting 8 billion entries each/per year ( all unique) for 150 years
