Need a new NFL team to root for (1 Viewer)

Dolphins have finally lost me. I will not become a Pats fan. Who should I root for now & why?

Not the Pats, Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Jets or Browns.

Someone I know, got fed up being an islander fan and he sent letters to every Eastern conf team announcing his "NHL fan free agency" Apparently Toronto replied and so he became a Leafs fan.

#shark move...

As a life long Detroit Lions fan, this sounds interesting... I live in Michigan, but Detroit is twice as far away from me as Green Bay and Chicago are, "as the crow flies"...

Typing up a letter to the Packers and Bears now...

    Fellow dolphins fan.   This has been an exciting offseason.  Its become my favorite time of the year since the on field product is usually so putrid.

Born in Detroit - moved to Phoenix 40 years ago. So you are looking at a life-long Lions' fan and a long-time Cardinals fan.

Try that on for size.

That's pretty cool. Great uniforms to wear. Slick colors.

Former Rams fan who has effectively spent the last two seasons in the wilderness when it comes to the NFL. Just didn't care.

I'm going to give it a go with the Indianapolis Colts for four reasons:

1. When Kroenke pulled his #### and moved the Rams to LA, the Colts actively campaigned for disenfranchised Rams fans to jump to them. I thought that was novel.

2. I now live in Indiana and they're a "local" team, plus...

3. ...I can get tickets fairly easily to games at their nice stadium.

4. I've always been grateful to the Colts for giving the Rams Marshall Faulk about 20 years ago and essentially helping start the "Greatest Show on Turf."

Will it stick? Who knows. However, with the team in the dumps at the moment, there's plenty of room on the bandwagon.

Raiders

1. Perfect if you're a total duushbag.  If you're not, you can take pride in being the exception.

2. They're moving to LV so they'll really be "anyone's" team.

3.  Derrick Carr has love of Jesus in those pretty, grey eyes of his.

I did this when I was a kid.  As a Lions fan, I wanted a good team to root for too.  I decided to pick a team from the other conference and suggest you do too.  If all of your friends are dolphin fans, it'll make it less awkward if Miami were ever to make the playoffs and be facing your new team.

I ended up on the Houston Oilers and now Tennessee Titans.  I just loved Earl Campbell and those baby blue Unis.  All I have to show for the last 40 years is one Lions playoff victory and the Music City Miracle.

If you're going to bandwagon might as well go with the Super Bowl champs. Lots of young talent, great young QB, very likable guys, lots of passionate fans, and a front office that seems to be one of the better front offices.

Cons: The owner is kind of a dillhole and the fans sometimes earn their reputation.

You can’t switch teams. You’re not 12, and the team didn’t move or get contracted. I’ve been a Dolphins fan since ‘84 and will be buried in my Marino throwback. All this heartbreak will make it that much sweeter when they finally win. Hang in there. Or as my grandfather used to say: “Suck it up, Sally.”

He looks like the psycho kid from Toy Story.

If by sometimes you mean all the time, then yes.

The only thing I can think of that's more embarrassing than being a Browns fan, is being a Browns bandwagoner.
As a lions fan the browns are the only franchise i look down on

I live near Philly. The city & most fans suck. No thanks.

If you enjoy being kicked in the nuts then it is the Lions or Browns.

Outside of killing people for your god, this is easily the stupidest mentality known to man

As a Pats fan, this logic of changing fan base is foreign to me.

... but I would think a person looking for a team to cheer for that isn't location based would start by rooting for the team of their favorite player.

Like Jimmy Garappolo?

No suggestion of the Bears?  A historic franchise in one of the bigger markets.  They have a new coach, new QB and are building up a new team.  Got some young, exciting players.

If not the Bear's then I recommend the Browns.  I really think they are going to turn things around with the talent they can add to that team.  Would be fun to be a fan early if they end up becoming a really good team.  If not, then it's not much worse than the Dolphins.

You're going about it all wrong, as a Dolphins fan.  Sit back...find some Skywalker OG cush...put on some Allman Brothers...
