Need a new NFL team to root for (1 Viewer)

Hey man, I don’t make the rules. Switching teams as a grown man is a ##### move
I think the only time it’s acceptable is if your city  didn’t have a team before and then gets one.

For example, I grew up mainly a maple leafs fan (because they were my “team” in NHL 95). But I felt okay cheering for the Wild when I moved to Minnesota and they err pretty new. I wouldn’t have a problem if Vegas residents latched on to their new teams.

I’ve been trying to abandon my NBA team as a result of their historic incompetence, but it hasn’t really worked. The best I can do is not push my kids to root for the same dumpster fire.

Interesting. IMO grown men worrying about what other grown men do with their fandom is epitome of #####iness.
I definitely wouldn’t consider myself worried about it. Sorry if it came off that way. I have much more important things in life to worry about. Just an opinion on the topic at hand. Carry on.

You can’t switch teams. You’re not 12, and the team didn’t move or get contracted. I’ve been a Dolphins fan since ‘84 and will be buried in my Marino throwback. All this heartbreak will make it that much sweeter when they finally win. Hang in there. Or as my grandfather used to say: “Suck it up, Sally.”

Sounds like worrying to me.

If you're into passion of the fan base Raiders are the easy call. Probably the only fans in the NFL that will actually murder someone over a disrespect to their franchise.

Not sure how that will translate once they hit Vegas though...

If you enjoy barbecue, incredible home field advantage. poor clock management, and lack of second half adjustments, then the Chiefs it is.

It's OK to switch teams as an adult.  I dumped the Cowboys when they fired Tom Landry, and picked up the Seahawks, as I'd recently moved to Seattle.   Screw anyone who says you have to stick with a team.

That said, I'd lean Packers here.  They'll be competitive and entertaining for as long as Rogers is playing well, they get a lot of TV exposure, and as a small market team they're kinda perpetual underdogs.  Sure, you could gamble and have a fling with the Rams or Jax, but it'll probably be a short lived affair, and you'll be regarded as a bandwagon jumper by those who know you.

If I were rooting against NE, I'd be pulling for the 49ers and Garapollo to win a SB.

dumbaz NE let him get away for "one more shot" with Brady.

Would be satisfying (as someone disliking NE) if JG won a SB or two ... and went on to have a Hall of Fame career.
