Nerds (3 Viewers)

my wife, a european, was floored when she found out about us playing fantasy football.

"so, none of you were good enough to be pro athletes, so you pretend to be in charge of them instead?"

she has a good point. but, yea... that's exactly it sweetheart.
I don’t think that’s really what’s happening, though I’m not going to argue that there is no nerddom

Correction: I'll never be rich enough to own a franchise.

I was never smart enough to be considered a nerd. I was more of a dork.

At least you’re not a dweeb.
(And yes, my looking this up probably makes me a dork. Or dweeb?

Nerd – A nerd is a person who is very knowledgeable in an academic subject – they are practitioners. Typically, a nerd is portrayed as being intelligent, obsessed with a subject, and displays a bit of social ineptitude, which means they are socially awkward.

Geek – A geek is a person who is an enthusiast of a particular subject. They are fans, and fans collect stuff. Typically, a geek is portrayed as being intelligent and obsessed.

Dork – A dork is not too good of a term unless the dork is aware that they are a dork – then it’s funny. Today, dorks are described as people who do silly, ridiculous things. Based on the diagram above, they are typically portrayed as being obsessed (with what?) and are socially inept.

Dweeb – Out of the four, this one is the least favourable to be called. According to the Oxford Dictionary, a dweeb is someone who is boring, studious, or socially inept. The diagram indicates that dweebs are also considered intelligent – though I beg to differ.

Did someone say Nerds?
I prefer the ropes myself, delicious
Oh boy, have you had the clusters?

Similar to the ropes, but it's like gummy balls coated in Nerds. Lumping them both together, they're top 5 in the candy draft for me.
The ropes hold a special place for me...
Have not been to the movies since pre-covid, used to go couple times a month w/Mrs to "The Movies at Lake Worth/Delray" Mom n Pop movie house, first run major films mixed in with more art house type films, was owned by a very nice family. I used to watch the mother and her daughter who was all of about 3-4 years old filling up the nerds ropes in the candy/concession area around the lobby of the theater, the little one was adorable. The blue packs with the very berry were my favs
