New Metallica album 11/18 - Hard-Wired to Self Destruct (1 Viewer)

That's a great riff and the solos sound like old times.  Too bad the chorus is so goofy else I'd love it.

"Spit out the boooonnnnee-AH! "

I don't think so.

Definitely my favorite new song so far.  :excited:
I'll listen to it again with normal speakers - first run was on my cell phone. The first minute and a half before lyrics started, it seemed like percussion drowned out guitar/bass.

Been listening through the youtube suggestions, was first listening to Now That We're Dead and then discovered it was a slow down version of
Now That We're Dead . James' vocals sound strange, but I really liked the heavy, chunky riffs.

Both links are leaks and sound quality isn't that good.

All official uploads that have been released so far today you can find here: https://metallica.com/media/videos/the-videos/884/the-videos

 at people complaining about the lyrics.
Ha.  Believe me, I'm usually the very last one to give but a single #### about the lyrics of a song.  That chorus though was so freaking goofy to me that I just had a little trouble getting by it.  Make no mistake though that I love the rest of the song.

I just pre-ordered from Amazon.  Funny pricing:

MP3 album: $11.98

CD: $9.99

Click on the CD, and it says:
I just went onto Amazon app and I added the entire album to my library for free since I am a prime member

ETA: I just downloaded it to my phone so it looks like I have the album forever (or as long as my phone lasts) Looks like it just downloads to amazon app for offline listening

Top to bottom this is a really great album from them.Sure some songs I like better than others but this is by far the best material they have done in a couple decades and this is coming from someone who has been really hard on them over the years.Count me in!

I've listened to 8 tracks so far and the only one I found to be kind of a mess was "Am I Savage?" and even that one is redeemed somewhat by a killer riff towards the end.  In fairness, I haven't heard "Murder One" or "ManUNkind" yet, which are the two most maligned tracks in the bulk of the reviews I've seen.

Listened on my way home from work. Did not like manunkind. That is the one that stuck out so far. Disc 1 better than disc 2 imo

I've listened to all of disc 1 and two songs from disc 2 thus far.  They're all out of order on my MP3 player so I was trying to go by memory as to which songs are on which disc and in what order.  I bought it from Amazon, renamed all the tracks into the proper order when copying over to my MP3 player and they come up all jumbled when I plug the motherf##ker into my car.  I don't know why - maybe I need a new MP3 player, this one is roughly 5 years old.

Thanks

The Spit Out The Bone video is comically bad. The only logical explanation here is that one of their kids wants to get in the movie business so they handed them the keys and let them run with it.
:goodposting:  Although it does have a little nostalgic factor as it reminds me of a terrible old Megadeth video circa 1989

Thanks for the heads up. I just did the same.
