Next breakthrough in eating utensils: will it happen in your lifetime? (1 Viewer)

Will we see a revolutionary new eating utensil break into the big 3 of spoon, fork and knife?

Although, maybe it's not a good idea to think about it too much. I know that for many of you increasing your eating efficiency further would be a catastrophe...

For best efficiency it would seem it would still need to be at least a pair for cutting,  scooping and such. Perhaps a spork in one hand and the spife in the other.

I'll speak up for the apple corer.

Why can't we do this with steak or potatoes? One slice that's all, and BAM, there it is, your food all cut up, no slicing, no dicing, use chopsticks from there.

Pretty sure what you described is slicing and dicing.

Utensils are an unnecessary waste of resources which contributes to either wasting water or filling up our landfills.  In the future we will learn to eat like the piggies eat.

I think we devolve into no utensils. The fat ####s that are taking over this country don't need utensils to eat pizza, fast food, gas station snacks, etc.

Mexicans don't use utensils much. Neither do Asians. I imagine Africans do not use forks and knives either. The rest of the world outside of privileged Europe and North America eat with their hands.

This thread is triggering me.
