Weather update! Just flew over the stadium which was pretty cool, no rain, sun breaks actually. Pretty thick clouds all around. Was crazy bumpy and is pretty windy at airport which is about 20 miles south. Don't think weather should be too much of an issue unless the wind really gets crazy.

Correct. No rain right now but still getting a few gusts. Honestly, I hope it calms down and we get good weather.

All right everyone: enjoy the game! I'm off to the stadium to drink a few beers and get prepared to yell.

I don't think this game will be remotely close. If it were played at Lambeau, I think it could be a classic. But in that environment, with Rodgers hurt (and Lacy not 100%), it's going to be a bloodbath. The seahawks are a lock to demolish the Packers, and I really don't see any way Green Bay can even keep it close. I think the Packers lose by several touchdowns.

Not sure why you think this. Lacy should thrive in this.

And QB's always say rainy conditions favor the passing game because the WR's know where they are going, but the DB's don't. Also, the DLine has a tough time getting a push in these conditions.

always better for the Oline in these conditions - Dline has to rush and are always moving their feet - if you can set and punch when they only have one foot on the ground, it's easy to move them off their rush (honestly, fun as hell to do it to them). Having said that, the field (from photo's) doesnt look slippery enough/wet enough to matter that much.

I can relate to this. I started getting into professional sports just after the Sonics won their title in the late 70s. The Seahawks had their shot in the middle 80s, but that Curt Warner knee probably sank their chances. After that we went 21 years without a playoff win. That many consecutive years of failure has an impact on a young man passing through his formative years. I've grown up watching the other shoe drop year after year in Seattle.

Hell, until the win last year the greatest Seattle sports moment I can really relate to were both wins getting a team a shot to win to earn a shot to get to a title game (95 Mariners over NY and 83 Seahawks over Miami).

That would be a Jay Cutler move, throw to the covered guy, not the open guy.

I just don't understand all the hub-bub over this. You execute the gameplan and throw to who is open. Making throwing at Sherman a priority is like saying winning the game is secondary.

I'm from Seattle but had to work in LA this weekend, caught a 7am flight to get here. Unfortunately not going to game but live about 7 miles north of the stadium.

The sun is out again and hardly even gusty. Weather is crazy today but may get lucky as it was supposed to get better throughout the day.
