Packers Game Plan on Defense

1) count on Sheilds, Tramon and Hayward to provide one on one coverage in the secondary. lets the Safeties up for run support to limit the Beast

2) Attack the offensive line of Seatle. It's not a great line, and now they have their starting RT out

note I am not saying it's going to work - but I predict its what they try

Contain Wilson.

Beast will get his similar to Murray...but cant give up those back breaking scrambles or huge beast runs.

Man, I would love a huge beast run today

great. NFL told the Beast if he wears the gold cleats he will be ejected from the game (per Fox)

Just what we need - Lynch to have even more motivation

The defense almost doesn't matter. Beating Seattle over their stretch of excellence the last couple years has rarely if ever been a matter of defensive gameplanning. It's a matter of getting out in front, and forcing the Seattle offense to do the things it's least suited to do.

Easier said than done, of course, but Seattle's O has been vulnerable against even some pretty bad defenses on those occasions where the opposing offense built up some sort of lead.

Let Seattle hang around, and they can grind you to dust with the running game and precision short yardage passing. Force them to try to attack down the field, and they're in a lot of trouble. SD, KC, DAL, and STL weren't exactly a murderer's row of defenses. A much better D like Carolina's still couldn't do much, because they didn't have the firepower to get ahead.

Got to play mistake free, aggressive offense early, and if you succeed, the D pretty much takes care of itself. Again, a whole lot easier said than done against that defense. But Russ and his guys on O want a close game, and to beat you by making fewer mistakes than you make. It's a great recipe. Rodgers has to be on top of things today.

lol @ the NFL not letting Lynch wear gold cleats. What a stuffy bunch of suits.
So many dumb meaningless rules. But everything has to be sanctioned

I get that there are things you can't allow...but would be so easy to grant exceptions like this or the whole Tilman thing years ago.

Wilson on Bose ads, Sherman on beats ads. Most physical defense in the league. Defending champs, going up against the best QB in the league for the chance to defend their title. They're cool. The whole city is on edge for game day.

Guys, I still can barely believe this is happening.

Teams win...not names

Pretty cool.

Nice having a game where if people really look at it and get past their team biases...2 QBs that are just so hard not to like (unless you are playing against them).
