Yeah, if only they went for and got that 2pt conversion so they didn't need two more drives in this game.Clock is going to be an issue for Seattle
wasn't it called unnecessary roughness during the play?Good point... could've been a coaching mishap. Doubt it though as the refs didn't explain "after the play" like they normally do. Not sure why they didn't... I agree I'm not entirely sure how you can have a "late hit" without it being a dead ball foul. If the ball isn't dead, then it shouldn't be a late hit. This could be possible too. Won't know till after the game. But who is to say the fault is the ref's? It may have been the fault of the Packers coaches. They may not have understood the explanation from the refs and declined the penalty. The refs may be asking themselves "What the hell were they thinking?"It's literally not even possible for it not to be a dead ball foul. If it wasn't a dead ball foul, then there was zero reason to even call it a penalty. But it clearly happened after the sack and was clearly a dead ball foul.Mike Periera saying that personal foul was not a dead ball foul, not loss of down. Terrible call.
Mike Pereira sticking up the for refs when they clearly blew it once again. And he is getting shredded for it on Twitter.
I do not accept your reverse jinx. This game is over. Great job today, Pack.
Watch Seattle, they go for the ball and then tackle. It gives the ball carrier a couple extra yards on every play. These missed tackles are inexcusable.
I wouldn't call 19-7 a blowout.. But usually only one underdog wins in the Conference Championship gamesif this game is the blowout one, does it mean the NE/Colts game is the close one? they cant both be lopsided victories can they?
history says no..
ror...I know this is shtickColorado State's Mason Crosby the likely MVP here today. Cool.
Nah, that was weak. Starks didn't put up any fight or sell that call at all. He will never get that call, in that venue, in that situation unless he makes it look brutal.Watch the play. He grabs his left arm.
Yeah, but how is that roughness during the play? It's not like it was hard hit or anything, he just fell ontop of the guy as he went to the ground. That call shouldn't be allowed "during" the play. It should either be after the play or not at all.wasn't it called unnecessary roughness during the play?Good point... could've been a coaching mishap. Was just saying the same hung to my son. We needed a TD there.Plenty of time left for seattle. GB should have scored a TD.
Agreed...think Rodgers should just take 3-4 yards running there and slide. Have 3rd and short.Nah, that was weak. Starks didn't put up any fight or sell that call at all. Yep. 2 TDs in ~10min isn't hard for Seattle. 21-19 final. Book it.Plenty of time left for seattle. GB should have scored a TD.
My guess is hyper-extended elbowSherman - broken arm or collerbone?
Exactly. The reason a flag was thrown is because the hit came after the play. If the play was still happening the block wouldn't have been illegal. Therefore if the block merited a flag it was by definition a dead ball flag and should have been added on
Fiddlesticks? If Seattle wins 21-19, what will the Fat Mike defenders have to say?
This is assuming Pack don't score on one of those fourth down runs. But yes gutless calls look good in hindsight when other team plays like crap and you are up 12 in fourth.Guess the field goals were important.
And if GB wins, what will you say?If Seattle wins 21-19, what will the Fat Mike defenders have to say?
I have to admit I don't know the rule all that well. But I always thought all personal fouls were dead ball fouls and tack on penalties. There should never be a cheap shot penalty in a game that doesn't result in any "penalty".Yeah, but how is that roughness during the play?
