Hey all,

Does anyone understand how the "units" are used during the entire event?

You have 300 points to use. Does that mean if you drop a player later, those points come back and you get to use them to purchase other players... or do you have budget and guess how much players added in the next round will cost.

Any Help?

You have $300 to spend. Each player's cost is shown on the dropdown.I just put my team in and $300 is easily too much for this week.

This is a good question. The site does a poor job explaining the rules. 300 is too much per round, but if we are to ration it over the full playoffs one would think values for all players would be available. As it is, only the wildcard players are listed.

They don't explain at all. I'm assuming that the 300 is your total for the entire playoffs. If one of your guys is eliminated, you have to pick up someone else within your leftover budget. If not, then you could pretty much pick anybody you want.

I certainly hope you're wrong, as I spent $300 this week. It's impossible for me to believe that you are supposed to make 300 last through the entire playoffs.

As I read the rules, you can spend up to 300 each week, and can make roster changes after week 1. You are allowed up to 8 roster moves for the duration. What is not clear, but assumed on my part, is that reserving one player and starting another counts a single roster move (not two). I further assume that the dollar issue is not a problem (example: you spend 300 in week 1, in week 2 you reserve Adrian Peterson and start Willie Parker, so your spend actually goes down for week 2 (300 + Parker - Peterson)).

Yeah, I read it as you get 300.00 per week based on the available players' cost.

I also spent all 300. Assuming I judged the rules right, I'll have to replace two players just from the first game alone, but they all scored:

QB: Peyton Manning

RB: M Turner

RB: LT2

WR: Fitz

WR: R White

TE: Celek

K: Naeding

DEF: Miami

If your $ budget is at 300 and all your guys win except your Atl WR RWhite at $28, you must use a transaction and replace him with someone $28 or less.

300 is your cap. the trick in this game is 8 transactions. Thats not many.

Assuming this is how it works I am going to making about 5 of my transactions going into next week.Well atleast I got decent weeks out of some of the guys that are leaving.Players Units Manning, Peyton QB IND 66 Turner, Michael RB ATL 55 Sproles, Darren RB SD 17 White, Roddy WR ATL 37 Fitzgerald, Larry WR ARI 42 Clark, Dallas TE IND 25 Elam, Jason K ATL 28 Ravens DST 30 Team Units 300

Did you calculate that yourself? This is who I had rnd 1:McNabb, DonovanTurner, Michael McClain, LeRon Jackson, DeSeanFitzgerald, Larry Clark, Dallas Akers, David Ravens DSTSo I'll have at least 6 transactions left (which will go fast, especially when Philly and Balt get ousted)

Ouch... you're probably best off going "all in" with one team that you think can make the big game. Since you already have Sproles, might want to grab Rivers, Gates, Keading and then a couple Panthers or Giants.

Just click on "scoreboard" and it will say how many points you scored .

I had 133 points.

Manning

AP

Sproles

Fitzgerald

Wayne

Heap

Ravens

Viantieri

I was banking on the Colts going further, that's for sure.

Have to replace QB, RB1, WR1, and K - leaving me only 4 moves for the rest of the time. Am going with Jacobs for sure, probably Delhomme and S. Smith. Not sure about Kicker yet.

I ended up with 99 points. I have to replace Manning, ADP, Wayne and Clark at TE. Does anyone know if we MUST make a change? If we do then It doesnt really matter your score, most will be eliminated by insufficient rosters. If we don't I want to leave Clark in the TE spot for the next round and save a move.

Anyone know if I can leave a player there?

One earlier poster hit on the answer but did not expand

1) you have 300 Units each week to field your lineup

2) Lineups are different each week

3) UNITS change from week to week (so Sproles was only 17 last week but is 33 or 35 this week)

You can go play with lineups for Division Week now - don't have to lock them in until Saturday

Since there are only 8 changes, it is probably best to just replace your booted players.....or you will run out of changes

You don't want to take zeroes needlessly - you will fall too far behind.

 only 116 this week so well behind the leaders, but hopefully they falter in the coming weeks. I picked the wrong kicker and of course Dallas Clark was puny.

122 but only Clark and a K to replace.Probably should have picked a diff. kicker to start but got focused on the roster selections, not the continuation / saving a roster move.

Hmmm... looks like my adblocker or something prevents live scoring from showing... this is all I see:Scoreboard Week: Wildcard · Divisionaltop Live Scoring Notice bottomNote: No need to refresh page as stats will update LIVE! got 110, I thought that the 300 was to be rationed over the course of the playoffs. So I made "smart" decisions like picking desean jackson over Larry Fitz

Anyone doing well in this contest?

I've only got 187 pts... but I still have 5 roster moves left.

If Philly and Balt make the SB, I could have a slight chance just w/ the amount of players I'll still have going.

McNabb, Donovan

Westbrook, Brian (Replacing DeAngelo... who replaced Turner)

McClain, LeRon

Jackson, DeSean

Fitzgerald, Larry

Miller, Heath (replaced Clark after rnd 1)

Akers, David

Ravens

I'm ranked in the top 139,000, have no roster moves left, and 4 Panthers on my roster, so....

I'm terrible at these kind of contests. I was trying to pick which teams would be around the longest, but ran out of my 8 roster moves by having too many Colts and Panthers.
