NFL is for #####'s Now (1 Viewer)

I've been an NFL fan since I was was eight years old, playing Fantasy football for over 20 years. QB's hang WR out to dry and get rewarded with defenseless player all the time, cant touch the QB unless text book tackle and about another 10 things to ##### about. I've quit a dynasty league I've been in since Ray Lewis was a rookie about 17 years ago and wont join any yearly leagues, so I can enjoy Sundays from now on.

Hopefully you'll be quitting FF forums too.

I've played FF since 1991 and it's better than ever. U mad.

So because the NFL calls penalties on the defense you're going to quit fairy tale football? :lmao: Ok.

The NFL is becoming the NBA. Although I've lost. A lost of appreciation and respect for it, it's still easily the best game we have.

While I agree with some of the stuff he said, I am not going to stop watching and I am not going to complain about it like he does.

I don't get it either. Why quit fantasy football if your problem really has to do with how the actual game is played. The reaction does not solve the root cause.

I hate watching football now, to be good in FF you must watch and stay informed. The only reason I watch now is because I've got players still in games and a little money to win.

Post count = 2Odd that you're posting habits have increased so dramatically after you quit the hobby.

Im sure Goddell is monitoring this thread and will launch an immediate policy change. Keeping Tom Brady from having his head taken off will have to take a back seat.

Goodell is "sissifying" the game. The players will be in skirts in a few years.

Oh well, there's always curling.

One of these days some of you people will learn that its not Goodell that just makes these rules and pushes them on the league...but that the owners drive it for the most part and he rubber stamps it.

This is an emotional topic sho, no logic may brought in. But, if you must, don't forget the lawsuits from the former players that the league (i.e. - the owners and THEIR employee, Goodell) hopes to mitigate with all the rule changes.

No doubt that Goodell and the owners are in "cover their ###" mode.

Its not "manly" to play a game so dangerous that a noticeable percentage of athletes end up with long term health issues. Its stupid.

Yes. However this issue is worth revisiting from time to time just in this far superior thread.http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=638179&st=0&p=14260350&hl=civil&fromsearch=1entry14260350

The game is so bad, today 3 officials throw a flag on a perfectly legal hit by Cam Chandler. Those plays can change a game, why aren't they review-able?

:lmao: F me. Really? First you quit the hobby. Second you start posting on a fantasy football message board. Third, Bam Bam Kam is horribly insulted. You deserve a hit similar to the one Kam put on Davis tonight.

The downside to having a bs flag thrown for an earlier showed up later in the game when he laid off on delivering a hit and allowed a first down. Terrible implementation of the rule. Hope it gets fixed next year.

I kind of agree with the OP. I'm not quitting FF, but the game is getting watered down and far less enjoyable. Refs call PI at will or hitting a defenseless receiver. Might as well just let the offense run freely. Just trot your defense out there when you suspect it will be a running play. But don't touch the QB!!!

I get tired of the offensive players pleading for a penalty on every play. Bunch of #######!

it's truly sad that we may never see something sexually explosive as a compound leg fracture in the NFL again. the violence in the NFL these days doesn't even make it twitch. :sadbanana:

I gotta admit this was pretty sad to see. Not only was the hit perfectly legal, but THREE refs threw a flag as if it was blatantly obvious illegal hit. And im a 49er fan.
