**NFL London - Vikings vs Browns**(+3, 36) 9:30am (1 Viewer)

@General Malaise

-Despite Gabriel Smurf at the start and his challenge just getting the ball past the LOS, you can't help but notice he has a quick release and more mobility behind the OL
He doesn't look like he has a strong arm but he does have a lively arm, that quick release could be useful on the shorter passing routes in the 10-15-20 range but we've seen some poor throws
At least 2 balls batted down at the LOS but I will say there is a leadership element here, he looked nervous early as expected but he looked in control on the last drive and I'm interested in how this game is going to finish, at some point the Browns need to take a couple shots to loosen 'em up and then bust Judkins on a draw or delay

2nd Half to come

What did Judkins do wrong to get shelved for the last half of the 2nd Qtr?
It was very curious. Even putting aside my bias as a Judkins owner, he is the best weapon they have. He was having success and then they simply stopped using him, they were barely even using him for play action and then he wasn't even in the game. Odd.

He didn't. He's not their hurry up back of choice, which makes perfect sense, as he's a rookie who missed camp, and both their other RBs excel as pass catchers.
Totally agree. Plus you have a rookie QB in his first NFL start. Every coach in the league would take the veteran presence who is also a pass catching back.

I never expected Judkins to be as involved as he has been in the receiving game this early in the season. He needs both practice reps and game reps before the coaches will trust him more. But as the season goes along he may start earning those 2-minute drives.

This is not what happened. He got the 56 yarder called back then the drive quickly went backwards. Next 2 drives were 3 and outs - first stalled due to a bad RPO read from Gabriel, second gave Judkins a 1st down carry but then the next play was a sack forcing 3rd and long.

He's not the 2 minute RB so that was that. Expect to see plenty of him this quarter.

A little nervous that Flores adjusted at half and is going to get Gabriel's head in a blender with exotic looks if the Browns keep falling behind the sticks.
