**NFL London - Vikings vs Browns**(+3, 36) 9:30am (1 Viewer)

Ooof. The Browns could be in the playoff hunt if they had 1 semi competent QB.
gotta be honest...Gabriel has seemed fairly competent today. He's a third round rookie in his first start....couldn't ask for TOO much better. Hated the second down play call, and Gabriel needed to look for someone open or take a sack on third...throwing it away was worthless

not sure I agree with taking timeouts on Cleveland's side...just giving them more plays to score that TD with. Need to hold them to 3 for OT

SMH...really dumb Stephanski. if they DID score 7, you dont have the offense to score in 30 seconds anyway

Not sure why the Browns used final timeout there just helps Minnesota it isn't like if Minnesota scores you will comeback and win this game with 20 seconds left

By the Browns using those timeouts they made this drive easy for Minnesota not to have to worry about the clock this new era of teams calling timeouts at end of the game when leading by 3 or more to allow the other team to do whatever they want helps their teams lose.

I guess the fact that they have a 3rd round rookie starting week 5 is the issue. They wiffed on the vet addition of Flacco. Hindsight is 20/20 but there might of been some better options. Cooper Rush? Minshew? Mac Jones? Who knows.

Kenny Pickett was the better option, but they couldn't carry 4 QBs for whatever reason.

Plus having to invest in non-standard tiny gloves.
:oldunsure:

Wentz was unsigned forever. What made the Browns think Wentz wasn't a better option than an ancient Joe Flacco and a limited Dillon Gabriel?

That D is going to go to waste.

Gabriel got me 20 pts in a SF league in a desperation start with Purdy out, pleasantly surprised. For a 3rd round guy making his first start against a top 10 defense thought he looked pretty good. What were people really expecting?

As others have said, the Browns completely missmanaged the clock down the stretch. On the play where Mason was ruled (correctly) to be down before going out of bounds, the Browns called a timeout rather than allowing the 10 second runoff... or, forcing Minnestoa to us their last timeout. It was mind-boglingly bad.

I wasn't even following this thread, and came here to post this

Mad I benched Addison in 1 league. It was the right call for 59 mins.
same, but still not a huge game from him. The alternate might well score that or better
I switched him out for Jamo (TBD)

My other option was Mason (~13)
had to play two of Keon Coleman, Tre Tucker or Addison. Figured London games unpredictable in general and between Wentz and the Cleveland Defense just not much trust Addison would be big today. And we were right....for 59 minutes. MIght yet be the right choice but unless one of them totally craps the bed it isnt gonna be a huge difference

I wasn't in here commenting... busy trying to get my lineups set and playing chess and drinking coffee and big rips... watching a pretty good London game and oh yeah...

hit my 6 leg parlay

Jefferson longest reception >23.5 ☑️
Mason > 14.5 1Q rushing yards ☑️
Hockenson > 0.5 1Q receptions ☑️
Fannin > 11.5 1H receivings yards ☑️
Judkins > 12.5 receivings yards ☑️
Bond > 28.5 receiving yards ☑️ hit this one on the last drive with a 22 yarder that gave him 29 total

show me the money! Turning $10 into $700 before the main slate is super fun

Congrats! That’s righteous.

I'm serious when I say I dont think Vikings score 7 without those timeouts. It didn't just allow them a couple extra plays, it also allowed them to take their time to get the RIGHT plays. Cleveland offense wasn't capable of a TD in 30 seconds with no timeouts....better bet was to force Wentz to play/think fast

I do 2 or 3 a week and usually hit 2 or 3 a season in this neighborhood. that was the 1st this year though. so realistically it's more like $200 turned into $700 but that doesn't suck.
