So I was gonna use my kids .edu to get the streaming version of nfl ticket but curious as to how the streaming services work? They get shut down on occasion? How is the streaming quality?
I saw another one someone posted (nflbite?) but not sure I want to give it a go if I can just buy the legit service...

Without even dealing with any marketing or infrastructure, the NFL would need to get 6.4 million buys every week to match the $1.5 billion check that DirectTv hands them each year for basically doing nothing. It's not as attractive as you might think.
It's amusing to me that Pittsburgh gets a different game than Cleveland, Erie, and Buffalo. Just because the Eagles are on the other side of the state, does that mean Steeler fans want to watch them?
This is exactly what they do in virtually every market outside the US. Directv throws BOATLOADS of money at them though so they take that over trying to sell to individuals. Directv isn’t long for this world though fortunately.
There are a whole lot of potentially bad early games.
Totally weird that Philly chose to go with the LAC/CIN game. Doesn’t seem like there’d be much of a market for that one, especially with both the NYJ and BAL games being played at the same time, both of which would conceivably have more fans in the area (also bitter as a Bills fan to not get the NYJ/BUF game).

i don't think it's a choice. i think there's a rule that you can't have a competing game at the same time on the other network if your home market team is playing on the road or something like that.
edit: maybe it's not a road or home thing but you can see that SEA, ATL, GB, CHI, MIN and DET markets all have similar things and they have 1:00 FOX games.
