Yea I imagine it's not easy but they haven't exactly hit on the backup goalies. Nabokov and Lindbach. :Xwas just named AHL player of the week.seems like he could be called up if Bishop is out for awhile. Nabokov is terrible. Is he ready though? trading Myers in a package for Hall might get this tanking project in Buffalo back on track.Taylor Hall is un-coachable,interesting timing for this to come out right after Eakins gets canned.Said to be on the trading block now.

What's going on in the KHL right now is pretty unbelievable. There's talk they'll have crisis meetings this week.
James Mirtle @mirtle
Three KHL teams may fold due to monetary issues related to crashing ruble and Russian economy. Some coaches haven't been paid anything.
James Mirtle @mirtle ·
A lot of teams are having payroll issues with players, too. I've heard from a couple; if others are out there, contact me via DM.

Don't know exactly which teams are distressed enough to bow out of KHL but best guesses are Atlant, Bratislava and Riga. Major pain there.
James Mirtle @mirtle ·
Multiple sources confirming players on those three KHL teams haven't been paid this season: "Roughly one-third of KHL has serious problems."

Some agents say they've protected their KHL players' contracts from currency devaluation. But if teams don't have the money, then what?
Yeah, they were handing out ridiculous contracts. I'm surprised it has taken this long honestly.Aaron Rudnicki said:that league has been a disaster waiting to happen for years. they don't make any money so not sure why they thought it was sustainable long-term.
Certainly would make filling the rosters of a few new NHL franchises a little easier if it did fold.Yeah, they were handing out ridiculous contracts. I got a threat warning on your link, just an FYI.they try to compete with NHL salaries while playing games in front of college hockey sized crowds.Yeah, they were handing out ridiculous contracts. Radulov and Kovalchuk dominating. Interesting PIM stats for Radulov.Anyone in the KHL capable of making a difference in the NHL?
I think I heard that Kovalchuk needs almost unanimous approval from all owners to get back in....something like thatRadulov and Kovalchuk dominating. Interesting PIM stats for Radulov.Anyone in the KHL capable of making a difference in the NHL?

although if Cheechoo is putting up more than a PPG, all numbers are suspect.
Pavel Buchnevich?I think the Rangers have some guy in the KHL putting up points. Not sure of his name though

wut? Damn that suckshttp://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/epix--winter-classic--series-may-be-loved-----and-totally-mocked--puck-daddy-preview-164603813.html
Epix Road to the Winter Classic starts tonight. If nobody gets the network, will anybody see it?
Caps-Panthers shootout is ridiculous right now. Up to 20 rounds now.
I needed the win for Pavelec.GB stopping this ridiculous winning streak.
I haven't looked at their stats, but probably prefer Leddy. Kings offense seems weak again.I needed the win for Pavelec.GB stopping this ridiculous winning streak.
Who would you take? Leddy or Marinez?

yeah, he's catching up to Giordano in points. killing it on the power playStill hate playing the Kings.
Also, I have to give Dr. Detroit some credit. I think you might start hearing murmurs of Shattenkirk getting some Norris consideration. Not that he should win it, but that he should be in the conversation. He's having a really good year.
