NHL Off-Season thread:Down goes Kane! (1 Viewer)

Hawks pretty aggressive. Gave up 1st and 2nd in strong draft plus prospect for 2 rentals. Kane injury not scaring them. It's helping them load up.
With the cap going up so little next year a sell off is coming in the off season so it's all in, Kane's injury really allows Stan to go after players without losing anyone. The 2nd they gave up will be the pick they get from Hayes so they still have a 2nd and I am guessing that a lot of picks will be coming back as the Hawks trade in the off season.
I thought I read that those compensatory picks can't be traded.

@Based_Sniper91: Hearing Zuccarello to Bruins for two second round picks.

Edit: fake account.

anyone watching avs/wild? looked like the avs players just stakes into the goalie causing the skate to cross the goal line with the puck underneath.

Thanks rude. Not sure that makes sense but Moore isnt in the plans so...
Many tweets today saying Zuc is being shopped. Any correlation?
Just heard this one. Would be very shocked if they moved him for anything shy of a guy who flagrantly helps a Cup run this year. He's worth a ton to the Rangers just for the next few months, so unless negotiations are so far apart that they KNOW he's not returning AND they are getting a good top 6 wing in return, he's staying put.
Totally agree. He's not untouchable but they'd have to be blown away by an offer to move him. You don't remove a spark plug right now for nothing.

Blues squeaked out a couple of points against another doormat. The top two lines are completely invisible. I think they're just playing out the string waiting for the playoffs to begin but it sure would be nice to know for sure. It's not like they are Chicago or LA who have a proven track record of ramping up their play when the playoffs start.

I think this is the worst hockey they've played since Hitchcock took over.

Caps get Glencross reportedly for a 2nd and 3rd. (Picks unconfirmed)

Confirmed: Curtis Glencross waived his NTC to facilitate deal to #caps. Calgary gets a 2nd- and 3rd-pick coming back in return.

Sorry, you're right but they still have a 2nd from Hayes.

Something done between Arizona and the Rangers, hold onto your butts Rags fans.

Zuc/Yandle?

Basics of rumored deal is Yandle to #NYR with Duclair and a first going back to #Coyotes. Gotta figure there's more to this.

Girardi is a year into a full no trade. I'd be surprised if it's waived to go to Arizona.

Salary needs to be going back the other way.

Isn't Girardi pretty good? I don't get it.
He's solid but has struggled a bit and has a lot of years left on his deal. From a market value perspective he's fairly paid but the Rangers have a ton of money committed to non-forwards.

Knowing nothing about Yandle, have to assume they could have gotten something really good for Duclair. Kid is going to be a stud

Mackenzie:Key components likely to be going the other way are Anthony Duclair and draft picks, incl a 1st round pick. #TradeCentre.

Can't ever remember Kypreos posting something incorrect.
He's sorry:Apologies to Girardi. Told he is now not expected in the deal. It's Moore , Duclair and mult'draft picks. #NHLtrade. #Rangers #Coyotes.

really weird that he posted that without confirming.

Girardi never part of Yandle deal. Main components believed to be Yandle, Chris Summers to NYR. ARI gets Duclair, Moore, 1st rder plus pick.

seems like a great deal for Arizona. steep price to pay for Yandle but he's got 1 more year left before UFA status.

Rangers investing heavily on the blueline.

EDIT: 1st round pick here was from 2016, so that looks better for the Rags. Also, looks like Yotes are paying 50% of his salary this year and next so that helps too.

They already gave up 2015 1st to Tampa.

I really dont like this trade. They didnt need defensive help. Not seeing how this helps them other than being able to resign zuuc

To me, that's really what they needed. Bolster their defense.

Very happy with the moves.

The Lightning truly have some total letdown games. Don't think they can bring the nightly effort to win the East. Pretty gross game tonight.

Agreed. They need to pull their heads out of their asses sometime in the next month. This half-assed play won't cut it come playoff time.

Coming up really small against this ####ty Florida team.
After they dominated the Blackhawks Friday. And this is only their second game in a week while Florida is on a back to back. Horrible.
All the reasons why I bet them.

Meanwhile Sather can't stop himself:

Pending trade call, NYR acquire James Sheppard from SJS. #TradeCentre

Yandle won't bolster their "defense" per se, but he will certainly add to the offense.
