Not sure about this source but KFFL has ran with them as credible and sourced them in their lates email blast. I thought the SF part was intersteing.

ITL Notebook: April 27

You heard it hear first: Inside the League has learned that the Houston Texans, as rumored previously, will swap first-rounders with Denver later today in exchange for Denver's second-round pick this year, No. 56. The Broncos will select Mississippi IB Patrick Willis.

With the Texans' first- and second-round picks, Houston is considering four players: Utah FS Eric Weddle, Ohio St. WO Anthony Gonzalez, Southern Cal WO Dwayne Jarrett and Florida FS Reggie Nelson, with Weddle heading the list of players expected to still be available at 56 when the Texans are on the clock.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There's more: San Francisco now heads the list of pursuers of Georgia Tech WO Calvin Johnson. With 10 picks in this year's draft all told and four on the first day, they are a good fit with Detroit, which has decided on Clemson DE Gaines Adams as its choice, but does not want to pay the freight for a No. 2 overall choice and believes the Tiger can be had later in the draft. It's unclear how many picks the Lions will receive to move down.

This make sense and would be great for the franchise.

Do we have an official list of teams rumored to trade up for Calvin Johnson?

the Calgary Stampeders are making a play for him

The Lions are in the catbird seat of the draft. Everything revolves around that pick.

Even Millen can't screw this up!*

*Please God, let this be true.

ClevelandESPN's Ed Werder reports there is a chance the Oakland Raiders work out a trade with the Cleveland Browns during the first round of the NFL Draft. There is speculation the Browns could send WR Braylon Edwards to the Raiders in addition to the No. 3 pick overall for the first-overall selection.

BREAKING NEWS

Vince McMahon and Donald Trump have just announced plans for a professional football league, the NFSFL (No F'n Shame Football League). Calvin Johnson has been signed as the league's first player. Stone Cold Steve Austin has been signed as the league's second player. More news to come...

WhileI know the 49ers could get a stud defensive player(Willis,Carriker) at the 11 pick that would tremendously help their defense I would love to see them offer several of their 1st day picks to nab the best player in the draft. SF CLEARLY needs a #1 go-to-guy and CJ would fit the bill for years. They've made some moves in FA that'll surely help their defense and if they can swing a deal to get CJ I'm sure the 49ers braintrust will pull the trigger. I'm very excited about the direction Nolan has the team headed in and I'll be praying up until draft time that they can somehow manage to swing a deal to draft Calvin Johnson. If by chance they get him it won't be long until the San Francisco orginization gets back to being one of the elite teams in the NFL.

There could be a snag that might prevent the 9ers from getting Detroit's pick. If the Lions are targeting a particular player(Gaines Adams maybe) there's a chance he may not last until the #11 pick. So here's hoping that Detroit believes the player they want will be available at #11  :D

It almost seems like the question should be "Who isn't in the Calvin Johnson sweepstakes?" Seems like a new team pops up almost everyday

I like the move for the Texans. I think the team sees the real elite players they'd target are likely to go before them from where they currently sit and are comfortable moving down and selecting someone like Weddle or Nelson in the first.

Getting back that second also lets them draft a WR that might slip to pair with AJ. If they grade Weddle and Nelson as high as anyone they'd take at 10, it also (in effect) means they got Matt Schaub for a 2nd next year. Pretty solid deal now if that's the case.

What could SF possibly offer that could top Atlanta or Tampa Bay? Atlanta is offering a better first a better second and an extra second that SF doesn't have. Sf would have to be giving next year's 1st round pick to have a shot at this and even then I am not sure its a better offer than the other two.

funnyi thought these were all rumors and we could not confirm ANY offers, so how do we know atlanta offered anything at all?

KFFL:

Sal Palantonio, of ESPN, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are talking to the Detroit Lions about acquiring the second overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. There are several trade scenarios being discussed between the teams. One scenario is the Buccaneers would trade the fourth overall pick and their two second-round picks to the Lions for the second pick. This scenario is unlikely, since the Buccaneers are not willing to give up the multiple picks at this time, but they may change their minds before the draft. Another scenario involves the Lions taking Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson, while the Buccaneers would take University of Clemson DE Gaines Adams. After the selections, the Buccaneers would trade Adams, another player, possibly CB Brian Kelly, and maybe an additional pick for Johnson.
