does anyone here play minecraft dungeons? its like diablo
Yeah. Can do multiplayer on some games like Mario kart on the tv, split screen. Highly recommend the Pro controllers. Like $60 but worth every penny if you play on the tv a lot.Any link to good resources on comparing the models, and the extras to get?
We may be trying to get one for my youngest, but, I also wouldn't mind some Mario Kart action to relive the youth and compete with my boys.
Can you do multiplayer on say a TV from a single Switch, ie is it like other consoles in that way? What controllers other than the Joy-Con are there - my old and bigger hands would probably struggle with them.
Just starting to research the options now.
100% worth it. I felt like I was going to crush the joycons every time my son and I played. Plus they drifted terribly even after multiple shipments for repair. The pro controllers feel industrial strength and we've had not one issue with them.Yeah. Can do multiplayer on some games like Mario kart on the tv, split screen. When it disconnects from the TV is the green light still on (the charging light) on the dock?Anyone experience issues with the dock and, if so, had any luck with 3rd party ones as a replacement? Using the original dock, and it docks fine initially, but after about a minute the input on the TV no longer recognizes it being there. Not sure if it's a dock issue, or maybe something with the port on the Switch, where the dock plugs into it.
it's a mod (not Nintendo DLC) so it won't be on e-shop. no idea how to download it, but Google is probably best bet hereMy 11 year old is big into zelda. He heard about relics of the past, but we can't find it on eshop. How do we get it?
My kid can do without it. Tks.it's a mod (not Nintendo DLC) so it won't be on e-shop. no idea how to download it, but Google is probably best bet here

I had a similar issue when I was plugging it into an HDMI switch... once I stopped doing that it worked just fine again.Anyone experience issues with the dock and, if so, had any luck with 3rd party ones as a replacement? 2 Pro controlers Max... if you want to have 4 way races, pick something like this up - they are fun! https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-Wheel-Set-Switch/dp/B06XJBVSLYGuess I will be looking for a Switch in stock and at least 2 pro controllers (or should I get 4 so we could do 4 player Mario Kart?, or do I just make two of the boys.. or their mother, use a joycon?)
I am leaning towards just two, as I am sure once the initial novelty wears off, the older two will be back to Call of Duty or whatever they are playing with their buddies and not getting their butts kicked by their dad in Mario Kart.
If you haven't yet try another device on that HDMI cable and see if the same issue is happening (could be the TV's HDMI port). The Noid said:Yes.
theyre popping up on walmart and best buy latelyAny tips on how to buy a Switch console? Sold out in most places and my daughter is interested in one.
My sister has already pre-ordered hers.Buffaloes said:Amazon's 2nd best selling video game of 2020 is a yet-to-be-released compilation of 3 old Mario games. physical copies are sold out and its release date is a few days away. I mean aside from making the best 1st-party games, Nintendo knows how to create demand--this time through manufactured scarcity.
also, the Switch is awesome. Just waiting for them to release more of the classics

i think the fact they are emulated and only selling for a short time might be a precursor to Nintendo emulating more of those era games (64, GC, Wii) as part of their online package, which is what a lot of people have been waiting for. or maybe they aren't planning to do that at all. seems like it's been a pretty big missing piece considering how robust the virtual console was. It's wack that those Mario games aren't remakes, but simply emulated and some retextuturizing. Mario 64 will still be in 3:4 even.
I only have a few games for mine (Mariokart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, 2K) so I can't offer many suggestions outside of those classics. So, my son turns 7 in July and apparently is suddenly interested in video games (even though he has only played some very limited iPhone apps).
It seems that the Switch is the most kid friendly of the current systems. I also have a 4 year old son, who will want to play and do everything his brother does.
I know nothing about the Switch though. What should I buy? What extra controllers/components do I need? What games do I buy (or is everything downloaded now)?
Any other tips?
TIA.
Pro controllers are well worth it imo. We spent many weeks of the first few months my son had his switch waiting for repaired/replacement joycons to ship back and forth to Nintendo. Bought two pro controllers, and have had zero issues with either in 18 months of daily use.I only have a few games for mine (Mariokart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, 2K) so I can't offer many suggestions outside of those classics.2 hours ago, Leeroy Jenkins said:

The one extra thing you'll need is a micro SD card since the device itself doesn't have much storage (32gb I think). It already comes with 2 joy-con controllers so your sons will be able to play against each other in games like Mariokart etc. A lot of people like the Pro controller, but I never got one since I usually play in handheld mode rather than on the TV.
My 8 year old has been asking non-stop for one of these since he got to play at his friend's and cousin's house. Is this the best system for younger kids? Should we just stick with tablet?
