If there was a thread and I missed it, I apologize and the mods can delete it.

Did anyone see this last night? I didn't see it but was given the link last night and found out that way.

What a piece of work.

No thread about Kanye West ruining Taylor Swift's moment, at the VMA's?
On a website dominated by heterosexual men in their 30s?
I was in my mancave watching the Bears/Packers and my wife opened the door and hollared that I 'have to come and see this". I was annoyed since I own Ryan Grant and Green Bay was first and goal. After watching Grant take it in, I went upstairs and watched West make an ### out of himself.

This was a promotional stunt for Kanye's appearance on the Jay Leno show tonight. NBC wanted to create some buzz for tonight since they felt they hadn't really run any promos for it yet.

I can't speak for anyone else but I for one will not watch Jay Leno tonight. And I had seen a lot of promos for his new show, although none with Kanye. Looked pretty good. Maybe I'll watch it tomorrow but not tonight that's for sure.

If this is true then Leno and/or NBC should be ashamed for ruining Swift's moment just for a promo. :goodposting:

Dude was lit up like a xmas tree (i.e. pics on Tyler). Downed 1/2 a bottle of Henny before the show. Still a major tool though.

Are you me? This is exactly what happened to me. But I caught it on the wrap up show. I didnt care enough to go see it. I actually asked my wife why she was watching the MTV awards in the first place

aren't we overdue for hitler's reaction to this?

i mean, it seems like just the sort of thing that would send him into a tirade

:lmao:
Showing the fact that I am almost 40 here, but:1. What is a "Taylor Swift," and

2. What are the VMAs?

Okay, okay...I assume that VMA = Video Music Awards, via the link to MTV.com. I'm not wearing an adult diaper, eating dinner at 4:00pm and cozying up on the La-Z-Boy to watch Matlock just yet. I seriously have no idea who Taylor Swift is though. Man? Woman? Sheet of plywood? I wouldn't know the difference. And I think the last music videos I ever watched were in 1999 while I was in Tokyo...so I am completely, completely oblivious to that whole scene.

I'm just surprised that you know how to use these computer type things and can functionally surf the innerwebs. Congratulations for that, old man.

The whole "series of tubes" analogy made me run out and buy a whole lot of PVC to try and hook up to the In-ter-net (?)...but I couldn't figure out how to attach the electronic gizmo so I could plug those tubes into the wall. Do I need a European adapter or something to start beholding the wonders of eBay and Amazon.com? :sadbanana:Seriously though, I'm in design and have been building web sites since the 'net went from text-only to including graphics. Even built the world's first distance learning site for my alma mater back in the day (as far as we can tell)! When it comes to MTV, music videos and that whole scene though, I am completely oblivious. Seen one woman in tight shorts and her chest falling out of her shirt to a funky bass track, seen 'em all. ;)

That's the impressive that I get. The whole thing seemed too forced on his part.

This guy is one of the biggest tools I've ever seen. PLEASE stop listening to his music so he goes away.

He's not contributing anything that will be remembered a few decades from now, anyway. It's not a great loss to lose this "genius."

 Taylor Swift is a country music singer, a young woman (I think she turns 20yo this year). She's a hit with the country music fans, especially the young girls. My 13yo daughter is a big fan. I like her songs too. :)

Serena...and now Kanye. What is this world coming to?

In other news, the Supreme Court just reversed Brown vs Board of Education.
