No trouble falling asleep, but staying asleep a different story (1 Viewer)

This does wonders for me. My friend owns the company and she is making some nice, small batch CBD oils and this one is especially great for sleeping.

What do you do with this...ingest it?
Yes. It's a tincture. One full eye dropper on nights when I need a great sleep.

You could have had him sticking an eyedropper in his junk and you blew it

Wait hold up I haven't read the thread fully I guess. There are people that drink a monster every day?? That's... not good. That's not how it's supposed to be.
I realize it's not great, but it's my one vice I guess. Live a very healthy lifestyle overall. It's at least the white zero sugar one, but I'm fully aware there's other poisons in there. Whatever.

:lmao: definitely don't need the junk falling asleep these days.

Man from how you talk here and your other threads I think it's time you step back a bit and do some work on yourself

I just ordered it. Will try anything once. Will report back after I try it. thanks!

I'm not attempting to hijack the thread, but I have a different sleep issue. I find it difficult to fall asleep, so I end up staying up later and later (currently around 2 a.m.). So, when I do go to bed, I'm exhausted and fall asleep right away.
I know I shouldn't stay up so late, but it has become a habit now and really difficult to break it.
I started a routine every night where I take 2 Olly melatonin gummies plus 1 midnight blueberry Kiva gummy (5MG THC). Eliminates any anxiety and within 1 hour I’m ready to crash. So I take it at 10 and am down by 11. Every night. My issue is more like Offdee’s. I’m falling asleep now but struggle to stay asleep after 4 hours. I am getting up to pee a few times. Have to work through that. I have mild sleep apnea supposedly so most got a breathing devices (think it’s called Bongo). Will try that. Still better than the sleeping pills I was addicted to for 10+ years. I slept through the night like a rock but I guess Benzo’s are no bueno long term

I’ll let you know how that stuff from urbanhack works.

So, how often would you say you are using it? I might be greedy, but I want a great sleep every night.
When you take it do you drift off to sleep and then easily wake in the morning? Or is it more like "BAM" you're asleep and then you are groggy and unable to get out of bed in the a.m.?

I take a sublingual melatonin tablet every night, but I'm not convinced it helps.

Thanks for all that @Nipsey! I’m not a coffee drinker at all…just one can of the no sugar white Monster energy every morning. But someone said above they saw online that equates to 1.5 cups of coffee

Yeah, I should probably stop. I don't smoke, no drugs, limited alcohol so I guess I look at this a minor vice.

I take once in a while. I think if you were taking it for the first time, I'd take a few nights in a row and see what happens. I've had a few groggy mornings after taking it, but it's a good, relaxed feeling and not like hung over or anything like that. Can't recommend it enough.

It has trace amounts of THC. Any good CBD should be full spectrum which means all the cannabinoids are present. I believe the day time formula has a touch more.

@offdee I feel your pain. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. I have had the same issues for quite a while. I can fall asleep in minutes. But when I wake up, I am up for good and can't fall back to sleep. I get up about 4:30 every day. Like you, I have tried a bunch of things that haven't worked. Oddly enough, this situation only got worse a couple of years ago when I got COVID (and has stayed that way ever since). The worst is getting woken up by accident, as I will stay up from whenever that incident occurs.

Back 10 years ago I did a sleep study, and they mentioned I had the mildest of sleep apnea (but only laying in one position). I've tried getting a ton of exercise to be dog tired when I go to bed. Didn't matter. Tried changing my diet or what beverages I consumed. Didn't make a difference. I've tried going to bed earlier to maybe get more sleep and wake up the same time. Didn't work . . . I only woke up earlier. I tried staying up longer to maybe sleep in later. I still would wake up at 4:30.

The same thing happens when I travel. Time zones don't matter. Jet lag doesn't matter. I wake up at 4:30 local time, no matter what the time zone is, no matter how tired I should be, etc. Even if I am home alone, nothing to disturb me, I still get up at 4:30. I have no explanation for why this happens, and I have yet to find a way / a method / a supplement / a medication to remedy it. AT this point, I just accept that's the way things are and have given up trying to find an explanation and a way to sleep longer.

Are you exhausted by the end of the day or no big deal?

I read years ago Jon Gruden has some thing where he only needs a few hours of sleep each night and he’s normal functioning. Iit turned into an advantage for him cuz when everyone else was sleeping, he was watching film. Maybe you could become an NFL coach?

On days when I go to bed at a normal time and get 5 hours sleep I am generally fine. On nights when I get woken up (phone call, pet jumps on me, loud noise, etc.) and only get two hours of sleep, I am sluggish most of the day. Sometimes I use the extra time and am productive (do some work, pick up the house, make everyone home breakfast, etc.). Other times I surf the web or watch TV or a movie. If I do a lot of actual work right when I get up, it makes lunch time feel like it should be the end of the workday.

I've gotten used to it by now. I probably have only one day a week where I feel like I am sluggish and treading water. The other days are fine. As far as football goes, I fancy myself as being someone that could be an NFL coach based on my football knowledge (I know that doesn't translate into being an actual coach). I did coach local kids' football for years, but I'm not sure listing Pop Warner on a resume qualifies anyone for an NFL coaching position (outside of Detroit).

I have found the ones containing thc to be more effective for me. But sometimes I’m way too groggy in the morning. I’m just starting this experiment, so am still figuring things out.

Put the box of packets in the fridge. They actually taste pretty good cold.

This may not help, but while some of my bad nights of sleep are easily explained (alcohol) I generally live similarly as you. I probably have more stress, but I think I manage it well and forget about all of that day's problems (and the next one's) by the time I get into bed. My periods of poor sleep correlate with periods of relatively light exercise. I need to exercise myself to fatigue in order to a) be tired enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour and b) stay asleep. Now, I'm not saying I do a brutally difficult workout every day. I'm a middle aged schnook like most in here. I mix in both quantity and quality throughout the week. I've gotten back up to about 6 hours/week of exercise this month (maybe 2 hours of it vigorous) after battling injuries most of the year and not surprisingly am back to my normal 7.5-8 hours of sleep per night after riding a roller coaster through spring and early summer. I'd have as many 8's as I would 4's or 5's each week and average 6 something, most of it 'light.'

I have the same problem. I have come to the conclusion I am an "advanced sleeper"

I prefer this schedule anyway. I'm fine with being wide awake at 4:30 or 5 AM.

I don't mind it either and since I am WFH the early hours are where I get most of my work done. The only downside is I am on the East coast, and all the major sporting events start at 8-9:00. I don't stay up for anything unless it's a weekend and I'm drinking/ hanging out with friends. The one positive is that I like UFC, so instead of trying to click on virus loaded live stream links, I just wake up early and watch them on YouTube.

Thanks for all that @Nipsey! I’m not a coffee drinker at all…just one can of the no sugar white Monster energy every morning. But someone said above they saw online that equates to 1.5 cups of coffee
not only do they have caffeine. those things are straight poison. i used to drink red bulls. a myriad of health issues went away when i stopped drinking them. how do you justify that crap with that intense anti aging routine you have? :lmao:

Morning 1 of the no Monster revolution! I'm having a Grape Gatorade Zero right now instead. Still has that "sweet tarts" taste so similar taste experience.

If you're interested in exploring the various CBD and hemp products, I suggest visiting Verdant on KK in Bay View. https://www.verdantmindandbody.com/

The owner is extremely engaged in these products, very knowledgeable and helpful in my experience. He offered to personally deliver some products to my house and I live on the west side - 20 minutes away from his store.

I've been very happy with a couple products for sleeping and relaxing in the evenings - mostly for weekdays when I don't want to drink or smoke anything but need to unwind and get some sleep in a stressful week.

Dreams - this stuff works great for me. Great uninterrupted sleep of 8+ hours every time so far. The only drawback is I need my wife to wake me up the next morning or I would sleep 10 hours or more.
Enjoy - I cut these in half. Have not tried to eat a whole one yet as one-half a gummy does the trick for me. This stuff gives me more of a body buzz so I can hang out for a while, but the sleep is also great.

The delta versions of weed scare me. Should they? :notaweedsmoker:

Delta 8 won't give you a crazy high or make you trip out if that's what you're worried about. The times I tried it I barely noticed it and I'm not a big smoker. The only reason I could see using a synthetic like Delta 8 is if you don't have access to real THC

It could be just early placebo effect, but no caffeine at all yesterday and last night I woke up once around 3am due to my phone beeping with a text, but fell right back asleep and didn't wake til 8am. I had a slight dull headache yesterday, but nothing major.

Today is day 2 of no Monsters and I'm not really craving it. Having my Grape Gatorade Zero right now and I really think it's just the taste, and not the caffeine, that I liked in the morning. Don't think this will be hard at all for me to quit the Monsters.

After this, really the only bad things I put into my body are a few Vodka Tonics a couple nights a week, and some Oreos/random chocolate.

Morning 1 of the no Monster revolution! I'm having a Grape Gatorade Zero right now instead. Still has that "sweet tarts" taste so similar taste experience.

Now try leaving the phone out of the bedroom. No devices or media in the bedroom of any kind is a good sleep aid.
