"No way Jose" is racist now? (1 Viewer)

It originated from the last 2 letters of the N word being put, backwards, at the beginning. My parents wouldn't explain that to me as a kid when I asked but my grandparents did --- "it's so you don't have to say the real word". Everyone knew what it meant when I was growing up.
It would appear your grandparents were full of ####.

Origin of RENEGE

Medieval Latin renegare

First Known Use: 1548
That's what I learned growing up. I'm sure other parents and grandparents were all truthtellers and were never wrong though.
Apparently everyone's does since, as you said, "everyone knew what it meant." But hey, just keep on keepin' on with your false racial accusations. It's just what we need to get past it all.

I was also recently informed that using the expression "low man on the totem pole" is offensive to some......
Facebook now has FIFTY gender options ergo some people prolly get offended at being called man or woman. others simply get offended at shortening probably to prolly. Moral of the story maybe you should just not care so much about what offends stupid people. I'm still going to say no way Jose.

If I were rich, I'd buy a football team and name them the Welshers, just to see if anyone was offended. The mascot would be Dr. Gobbler.

While I agree people are sometimes too sensitive, I don't have a problem with it. I don't use the term "No way Jose", because I am no longer 12, but if I did and someone said they were offended by it, I would respect that and come up with something else to say... maybe "no way"
No way Uday

HLN had a feature about lying parents. One parent told its little kids that they couldn't go to the beach until the mayor started up the wave machine. Another said his dad told him that the ice cream truck played music when it was out of ice cream.
2nd dad is smart. But a ####.

This is like that joke that gets passed around over and over. I've heard so many people claim that their friend's dad said this to their friend growing up. I call :bs:
