First, I'm a big Noah Brown fan. Reliable blocker and big special team contributor. However, he is showing much more than a mere role player. Wish I could squeeze this guy onto my roster. I would have to quit on some lottery tickets to do that though.
 

Noah Brown caught 5-of-7 targets for 54 yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Giants.​

Brown's seven targets were second of the team to CeeDee Lamb's 12 while Lamb turned his into an 8/87/1 line. With Michael Gallup (knee) still out, Brown continued to operate as the clear No. 2 receiver. Gallup, however, is due back next week against the Commanders, though Brown's strong play and the Cowboys winning games might allow the team to ease Gallup's return. Brown would be tough to trust in fantasy if Gallup does play.

Noah Brown caught 5-of-7 targets for 50 yards in the Cowboys' Week 7 win over the Lions.​


Brown paced the team in targets, seeing one more than CeeDee Lamb, but Lamb turned his into 4/70 on a day Dak Prescott fired off just 25 passes in his return to the lineup. Brown also lost a fumble inside the red zone in this one. The Cowboys' third wideout is tough to get behind as anything more than a WR4/5 ahead of a Week 8 date with the Bears.

I think it might be fair to say Noah Brown has emerged. He's producing big again, and Nico Collins is out so some more opportunities, but he seems to have supplanted Robert Woods who is active.

I don't play fantasy anymore, but if I needed to take a stab at a WR I might get Brown if he's not been picked up after last week.
 
His target percentage and route participation increased when Woods got hurt right? I think he's a decent WR3/flex with upside going forward

I'm going out on a limb, but I'm going to say he continues to see a fair number of targets even when Nico returns.

Robert Woods was leading the team in targets even when Nico and Tank Dell were outperforming him. But I'd have to imagine with how Brown has performed he's going to keep seeing more action than he was. And I think he's probably built some confidence in CJ Stroud as a target.

When Nico is back I could see the targets falling a bit, but my gut is, Woods is losing the spot to Noah. If he gets just 2/3 of the targets Woods was he can produce with how this Texans offense is playing.

I've watched every Texans game and it's amazing how much space he's been able to find on his routes. It's almost like no one is covering him at times.

With Nico out, a sure fire starter. Even with a healthy Nico and Dell he's worth a roster spot as CJ is often looking for him. That extra 10 yards he had when he broke that tackle before the FG versus Cinci probably won them the game.

I have no info; however, from a generalized template of the player profile, when you've been in the league for 6-plus years, and you just finally decide to string together two really good games, and it involved gaining 23 yards per target in those games ... screams "fluke". But I thought Puka was a Fluka too, so.

I don't follow that trash franchise but I think everyone is surprised by the last few games in Houston. Really came out of nowhere.
 
Fellow OSU buckeye, guy wont wow you with.breakaway speed but he's big and good at making grabs.

I'm in, he's going to get his looks but any week I feel like any of those WRs will be Strouds guy.
 
Picked him up last week he's legit and Stroud looks for him. Only Texans fan in my league (1 ppr) and after watching every game I didn't want to risk it so picked him up early.
WR you want: Collins, Tank, Brown. Brown always seems to get open and talk about going from a zero to now extended career because of Stroud he's got to be giddy. Great hands, got some pop, not easy to tackle and definite connection with Stroud another buckeye. Seems like teams fixate on Collins and even double team which only makes Brown and Tank more opportunities to get the rock. Picked up Tank many weeks ago and may start Brown and Dell this is still a passing team and see them more of a Rams Kurt Warner style offense than many think they are at this point.
 
He's Nico Collins but 1/3rd of the speed. Will be a solid play until Nico comes back, and then fade back into irrelevancy.

Brown won’t fade even if Collins comes back. Those who think so I highly question if they’ve watched all Texans games this year. Buckeye to buckeye connection they have great chemistry.

He had 173 yards receiving and seven catches on eight targets in the win.
Brown caught all four of his deep targets Sunday for 121 yards, the fourth-most by a receiver in a game this season. He caught passes of 30, 28, 29 and 20 yards. He also had a 22-yard catch-and-run that set up Matt Ammendola's game-winning field goal.
Earlier this season, the coaching staff said Brown had been the most consistent offensive player in training camp. He suffered a groin injury in Week 1 and missed the next four games. But since returning, he’s picked up where he’s left off and has been one of Stroud’s most reliable targets.
Brown is one of three Texans receivers with multiple 100-yard receiving games. Tank Dell and Nico Collins have two each.
 
So as stated above most consistent training camp got groin injury and missed 4 games not because the team thought he wasn’t as good as other WR.

I dunno. Hes been in the league 6 years and been consistently between 8.3 and 12.9 YPR. This year his YPR is over 20. By all accounts these last 2 games are the outlier to this guy's lackluster career. Not saying its not possible to turn things around in the middle of year 6 with a new team but Id say the likelier chance is this is a veteran on a 2 game hot streak. I wouldnt be relying on him once Collins comes back.

The Yahoo player profiles are so bad they've almost become parody at this point. The velocity at how quickly they change based on a single performance or even just a day is wild.

Talking strictly as ppr league and looks like Collins Dell and Brown are the top 3. Their offense is running like Kurt Warner Rams years loads of passes in big chunks.
Collins was out vs Bengals and Brown isn’t a speedster yet still put up crazy numbers. Just imagine if he hadn’t suffered a groin injury and out 4 games

Stroud has been hugely successful with medium and deep passes. The Texans lead the lead in explosive plays. And one thing I keep noticing while watching games is just how much they are stretching the defense and how often that is leaving some big spaces for guys to get open in against zone in particular.

I suspect Noah is going to continue to have a place because I think he'll probably take a lot of Robert Wood's opportunities away. Woods had more targets than Nico when both of them were healthy. So there's room just on taking over a large part of what Woods what was getting, to put up nice fantasy numbers in this offense. Something Woods wasn't really doing with those opportunities, why I think Brown should continue to play more now.

Nico is 4.5 with a great speed score, and Noah Brown is a 4.65 guy, give or take a fraction of a second, and has a merely above-average speed score (67th percent). This is according to Player Profiler. That's a difference to a pretty serious degree.
 
Brown has trucked some opponents this season. Somewhat concerning though he was NOT present at the open portion of practice today.
 
He's being used in the "move TE" spot or as I like to call it, the Orande Gadsen. Big dude for Miami with Giant hands who was slow for a WR but faster than a TE.

If he was a 4.65 guy, he's faster now. I am not sure how he did it but he's a burner now.

I think the 2 game hot streak is going to continue. Could be a new diet or training program or something else (Ocho Cinco Viagra Red Bull pregame?) but he got more explosive.
 
seems iffy for this week - i didnt even notice him hurt during that last monster game. Cant imagine him sitting out after such. hot streak unless he's really hurt,
 
KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports Noah Brown (knee) will not play in Week 11 against the Cardinals.

Wilson said the team is optimistic that Brown will only miss a week or two because of the issue. Brown was on a breakout trajectory before the knee injury, posting back-to-back games with over 150 receiving yards. The Texans will now run with Robert Woods, Tank Dell, and Nico Collins in three-receiver sets. Brown remains a hold in all fantasy formats based on his recent production, but he could come back to a part-time role if Houston’s receivers show well in his absence.

No one is reporting how this guy went from looking great winning the game on the final offensive play to out. I needed one more week from him in both leagues.
 
Noah Brown (knee) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

Brown has now logged back-to-back practices to start the week and is trending toward a return in Week 13. The veteran receiver last played in Week 10, when he ripped off an unprecedented 172 yards on seven receptions, marking his second-straight 150-yard game of the season. Brown has been a pleasant surprise for the Texans and is now up to 21 receptions for 439 yards and one touchdown on 28 targets. He could return to a crowded receiver room, as Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods are all on track to play this week. Still, it’s hard to imagine the Texans giving Brown less work, even in a crowded receiver room.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Noah Brown (knee) is expected to play in Week 13 against the Broncos.

Brown was listed as questionable after sitting out of Friday’s practice. He was considered a true coin-flip to play at the time, but things appear to have gone well for him over the weekend. The Texans haven’t had a fully healthy receiving room since Week 1. Brown played over Tank Dell in that game, but with the way the rookie has been playing this year, the Texans can’t afford to use him in a part-time role versus the Broncos. Brown will likely split reps with Robert Woods this time around. Coming off of back-to-back games over 150 yards before his knee injury, Brown ranks as a WR3 for Week 13.

what happened? Thought he would return to his hot streak - especially when Tank was out....still hurt?
 
He’s available on my wire. WR is my weak position - I have Keenan Allen as an every week guy, and for the WR2 right now it’s either Addison or Diontae Johnson. I don’t want to drop any of my running backs for him so I’m thinking of trying to claim his upside and drop D. Johnson. Anyone else thinking of snagging him with Tank done?
