Nominate Your Worst Beer Here (1 Viewer)

I'll second Budweiser.

Bud Lite is pretty bad, but it actually tastes better than Bud and Bud gives me the absolute worst hangovers I've ever had. I had it one night at a patio/pool party a few years ago. It was free, I was having a good time among friends, and it was hot out. So I drank that swill all day. The next morning it felt like Thor was hammering my head all day. Aspirin dulled it a bit, that's it. I would've killed for some mild narcotics. It was THAT bad.

That Bud became the "go to" American beer has to be one of the greatest marketing coups of the 20th century. It's awful.

rolling rock
Good point. It's like a cheaper version of Heineken
Really?
The only similarity between Heineken and Rolling rock is the green bottle. Heineken is surprisingly bad for an "upscale" beer. I like beer with more body than Rolling Rock, but still find rocks a good summertime beer.
the other similarity is that they both are terrible
Disco music and high fructose corn syrup are terrible too... but not a great comparison. Heineken often has that "skunk" flavor - possibly why people like it better in cans. Personally, I don't find anything so distasteful with Rocks...

I don't mind Rolling Rock either. I haven't had it in ages, but it was a good option back in the college days.

Heineken is odd. Yea, it's marketed itself well like you all said, but anyone else notice that it's particularly big among black guys at bars? I often see brothers sucking down the Heineken. It's a staple beer for them the way Molson or Labatts is for canucks or Budweiser is for rednecks.

Heineken & Cognac and Coke are staples.

Blatz

Had to be ice cold to even be tolerable.

At $6 a case (back in the 80's) it was worth it.

Gameday, 7-eleven's store brand beer is pretty bad.

Agree with Heineken.

Yuengling is one of the few beers that I'd just rather not drink.

Not a fan of Fat Tire either, though I can appreciate that it's well made. Just not my thing.

I pretty much only like piss beer or hoppy beer.

Dogfish makes some very good beers. In general, a beer must suck pretty bad for me to put it down.

However, I refuse to drink beer with Fruit (really, Cranberry Lambic?), or low calorie/low carb (no thank you, I'll just drink one less "normal beer), or other wacky gimmicks (clam and tomato? bleech!)

7-Eleven makes their own beer?

It does! BEHOLD THE GAMEDAY.

Despite showing up in a sport coat and button-down shirt (I was on the way to moderate a Commonwealth Club event), the dude behind the counter still instinctively covered my giant cans of Game Day Ice and Game Day Light in a small paper bag, presumably so the cops wouldnt hassle me if I wanted to drink my beer on the corner.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

They still make GameDay ?? I drank the ice on occasion strictly on cheapness and I wouldn't drink too much since it was awful.

I haven't seen it in years
I have no idea. I wouldn't be shocked if that experiment failed quickly.

Kroger also tried a store brand beer (Port Republic) that I haven't seen around in a while either. They still have their craft line though, I think.

When you say things like this, Id say its probably the wrong thread.

Anything with the term Lite or Light in the name.

Corona- truely the worst mexican beer

Birra Peroni- beer from the country that brought you the FIAT

I know those aren't popular opinions.

Just throwing out some I don't care for beyond american light lagers (debating which of those are the worst is a fool's errand anyway).

To me, Yuengling is a case where that extra little bit of flavor it has over AAL's makes it even worse. It's got a hint of malty sweetness with no hop flavor to balance it out. That starts to disgust me after a beer or so, and I'd rather just have something with less taste, but is at least refreshing.

Not a fan of brown ales, in general, so Fat Tire's just not my thing.

Both are fine beers. I just wouldn't choose to drink them ever again.

Cruzcampo. Spanish beer. ####### brutal. Also, don't buy a canned Italian beer out of a vending machine in Venice. Somehow 1 can of beer have me the squirts.

WTF is radler? and im guessing most people here havent tasted these beers in at least a decade since were FBGs, right?
A radler is a German mixture of beer and carbonated lemonade. It's a chick drink. I've taken sips off my daughter's and it's not terrible.
