Norm Macdonald (1 Viewer)

god i want that Sports hat.

Hader episode was great.  Norm gave Merchant such a hard time.  It was funny, but I was feeling a little badly for him toward the end.

Norm Macdonald on Current State of SNL: ‘I Don’t Like Agenda Comedy’

The great comedian Norm Macdonald, one of the biggest names to come out of SNL, has some thoughts on the current state of the long-running show’s political comedy.

Macdonald gave an interview to Vulture on his new book, Based on a True Story: A Memoir, and in reaction to a question about SNL these days, MacDonald said, “I don’t like agenda comedy. I guess I could say that.”

He said there’s something “distasteful” about the political imbalance, warning that if in its upcoming fall season “Donald Trump is displayed as an idiot all the time and Hillary’s not, then it shows they’re out of touch with what people think, and it’s just not fair.”

- He's right. It's the one-sidedness of it and the predictability of it is just boring, everyone should get skewered.

heads up, he narrates his own book on the audio versions......will be buying it as soon as i'm finished with some current stuff.

Yeah, if only he'd done more pro-O.J. jokes on Weekend Update...

Wow....that most recent episode with Mike Tyson is painful to watch.

15 minutes in and I'm not sure I'll make it all the way through.

First it was a rumor, then it was a confirmed fact, and now, Norm Macdonald’s Netflix talk show is a real thing with a premiere date and guest lineup. The streaming network announced today that Macdonald’s ten-episode talk show, Norm Macdonald Has a Show, will make its debut on Friday, September 14. Macdonald will be joined by his longtime Norm Macdonald Live sidekick, Adam Eget, and the guest lineup includes Drew Barrymore, David Spade, Judge Judy, David Letterman, Jane Fonda, Chevy Chase, M. Night Shyamalan, Michael Keaton, Billy Joe Shaver, and Lorne Michaels.

As previously reported, Letterman is also credited as the show’s official location scout, while Macdonald serves as an executive producer alongside Lori Jo Hoekstra, K.P. Anderson, and Daniel Kellison.

Just so I’m certain...

you opened and posted in the Norm McDonald thread about not being interested in anything related to Chevy Chase, David Spade, and Lorne Michaels?
Love Norm, but the guest lineup is weak imo. So no, you were not correct.

I really liked him as the host of Disney's Carousel of Progress. Much more subdued than his normal stuff, but fascinating.
