NOT a rumor or anything - just an idea (1 Viewer)

Houston needs an RB with DD going down for possibly the entire season (do they really want to start a 6th round rookie?). The Titans seem to have 1 RB too many - and one that has been begging to be traded.

I own none of the afore mentioned backs in any league - it just seems like a good fit.

Discuss.

Does Houston really need another injury prone RB?

Lundy and Morency are making the coaching staff happy at the moment. I don't see them having anything the Titans would want that they could afford to trade for Brown anyways.

Brown is a stud when healthy. The Texans need to get this deal done before Minnesota or Denver nab him.

Nothing to discuss. If they wanted a back, they would have taken Reggie Bush.If they want a back, now they can land someone other than Chris Brown.

The fact that the thread is 10 posts deep in 5 minutes would seem to indicate that there IS something to discuss ;)

so the Titans would trade a talented runningback to a division rival?
I doubt that they would. I doubt that the Texans would give up enough to get him either. If Casserly was still there they would give half of next year's draft for him, but thankfully the Bozo has moved on and Kubes is in control. Never-the-less, as a Texans fan I picked up Brown last night just in case.I doubt that it happens though. Here's a link to why: http://files.myopera.com/nosajman/files/bull####.jpg

The Texans are rebuilding . Their not going to give up draft picks for an injury prone RB. They play out the year with what they have, and draft for need next year. Now if they were only a RB short of making the playoffs, maybe, but not with the current team.

Then why would Rotoworld say this:
But Kubiak also hasn’t ruled out trading for another set of legs, saying Monday, “We’ll be looking at running backs very hard.”

Because, in context, he was talking about evaluating players available after the next set of roster cuts. They don't cost a team next year's draft picks.

Who wants Chris Brown .

If any team had been interested he would be gone by now , no one wants a Rb who cant play more then 1/2 season.

I say no , they already signed DD to a big contract ( whoever did this deserves to be fired , especially not taking Bush with the number one pick when you know that DD wont play all year , they had to have a clue about DD injury it did nt happened in pre season )

Anyway no to Brown.

1. The person who did this has been fired his name is Charley Casserly the former GM.2. The doctors says that DD's current knee problem is not directly related to his offseason surjery. He participated in the first two days of camp before this showed up (Which is why that can't put him PUP by the way).

I was thinking Travis Henry to the Texans, btu how likely is it that they trade a starting RB within their division?

Considering he'll be suspended by the middle of the season when he gets his next substance abuse violation they probably wouldn't mind trading him within their division. The problem is they won't get much for him for the same reason.

I don't think the Texans believe they need a Chris Brown type RB at this time. I think they would rather see what Morency and Lundy can do and hope Domanick Davis can come back.

I would think a team like Green Bay could use a RB like Brown if they felt they could sign him to a longer deal. They could also use a decent backup QB like Volek. Problem is, I'm not sure what they would want to give up either since they seem to be rebuilding.
