ProFootballFocus is the only site I know of that has that stat. I agree that they are probably charging too much to make it worthwhile for a lot of people, but they do have some good info.
The amount of info they gave away for free last year was mind boggling. I ponied up the $8 which got me 4 weeks of the season (I'm in a big play IDP league, hugely valuable for looking at who might be putting pressure on the QB but not quite getting the sacks yet). Trying to decide if I want to pay $24 for another month.
Sadly, all they give you now is the total snap counts for each player, they no longer give you the file showing who was on the field for each play of the game (which was hugely useful when trying to figure out the new orleans passing game last year). If they still gave this info out, I'd be all over a subscription, but not quite sure it is enough of a value without it.
I don't believe it is in an easy to use, centralized format anywhere, which is part of the reason PFF went to their pay structure. They can provide something that isn't available anywhere else. There is a thread in the IDP forum regarding beat writers that track snaps played for the teams they cover. I know Ryan O'Halloran of CSN Washington keeps track of snaps played for the Redskins.
