Off-season Bills rumors - Levy and Losman (1 Viewer)

So what is the Goo Goo Dolls?   :yucky: :o
The only famous rock band to come out of Buffalo.
moe. started in Buffalo
My bad. How about "the best band I heard for free at Lafayette Square?" :D
Annie DiFranco had a good run.I think the plan is to package Losman and the 8th pick and next year's #1 pick for the #2 pick overall to take Leinart. Maybe New Orleans takes Losman to backup Brees.
I was just thinking that another Southern Cal pretty boy coming to Buffalo and looking like a deer in headlights as he got sacked on every other play is just what we need.

only hotel in town?

Adams Mark down? Hampton Inn?

btw, I would love to see this happen but I don't think Losman would be enough to move up to the top-3 of the draft.
The new hotel on elmwood is gonna be the new place to be.I also dont think anyone in the top 5 would trade for losman.

Considering the Bills gave up two 1st rounders to get Losman...that would be 4 #1 picks for Lienart. He ain't that damn good......How could they have possibly seen enough of Losman to make this kind of drastic decision?

Maybe the Cowboys can give them back a pick for him.....

What are the chances that Tim Rattay could be available?
:X Rattay is horrible. :X
How is Rattay horrible? He has never had a chance to play with any talent around him. Joe Montana would have sucked on those 49ers teams.
:lmao: Sure thing, chief.

Go watch the dude on tape. He's a loser who cracks under the smallest amount of pressure, not to mention his well documented 4th quarter meltdowns.

He's a big downgrade from Holcombe or JP.
Right back at you "chief" What are you 70 years old? Who the hell calls people chief anymore. I have seen Rattay play. He played on possibly the worst teams of the decade, maybe even ever. Those teams were crap. Of course he was cracking under pressure. The team sucked. The team still sucks. I think if Rattay got to play in a decent system with some decent coaching and a little talent around him, he may be pretty decent. Some did draft the guy and someone, Gruden, traded for him, so obviously two people who know a lot more about football than you thought he had some talent there "chief."

The Bills could probably just sit tight and get one of the QBs at #8 without having to make a move. If Losman is on the trading block, you would have to think the Bills have decided that they would be happy with whichever QB falls to them. It's really hard to imagine a brand new regime starting things off with just Nall and Holcomb on their roster.*

If they were paying attention they would have seem enough of him in his college tapes to make that decision.

Chief is a play on the fact that you are a Cowboy fan. Sorry I had to explain it to you, wasn't meant to be a "cut".I'll make this as simple as I can.

Your comments about talent and "somebody drafting him" have nothing to do with my previous comments. I wouldn't think I'd have to explain to someone here that of course every NFL player has talent. He is a backup QB that, IMO, would not be an upgrade over Holcombe, and for his cheap cap number and relative worth, would not be someone TB would be looking to move.

He is in the Detmer family of good backup QBs that have no business starting.

Rattay is a fine backup QB, and Gruden paid backup QB price for him--7th rounder. That said, if Gruden was sold on him as his backup QB, why the interest in Seneca Wallace?

I guess I am in the minority here, I thought Losman showed some promise last season. He was basically a rookie out there, of course he is going to be  I thought he showed enough promise that he should get another try. To me, Holcomb is just like Jon Kitna, fine off the bench but he wont get your team more than 8 wins, ever. He isn't that good.

I thought Losman just needed some more time, he needs time to learn the speed of the game and time to get some chemistry with his players.

OK, sorry. I guess I have never heard of anyone refering to a Cowboys fan as Chief..... If you call someone Chief in the military, it is someone who is trying to act bigger than their rank or someone who is actually a chief master sgt. Anyway..... I just don't see how people can make this judgement call on losman all ready, he was a young guy and he made the same mistakes every young guy makes, just like Eli did his first time and just like Rothlisberger would have done his rookie season if his play book wasn't half a page long. I think he just needs more time on the field to develop.

There is a new regime and Losman hasn't shown anything to make you want to commit to him for another year. Losman can scramble and he can throw the deep ball to Evans. Other than that he gives you very little and gets rattled easily.Levy is one of the smartest men in the history of the NFL. I think he will want to put his mark on this team right away, and the only way to do it is to trade up and take Leinart, even if it costs them Losman and multiple 1st and 2nd round picks. I think backing up Brees in New Orleans is about the best Losman can do. I also don't see why the Saints would keep the pick and if they are going to move to another city having multiple first round picks will help a lot.

"I think it's going to be something that boils down to Nall as the No. 1 and (Kelly) Holcomb as the backup," he said. "If you went through the locker room and people were honest, (there would be) a lot of people who aren't sold on Losman as a leader."
linkIts just an anonymous opinion from a "personnel man familiar with the situation", but this is amazing to me. Craig Nall did not throw a single pass last season. Didn't they give him over $1MM signing bonus? I'm happy for Nall - he's always looked good in the preseason games, but that is crazy.
