The only benefit of keeping Rodgers would be because theoretically it would help you for the 2014 season, which is why I brought up the example of Roddy White for Watkins. I would think most people think White will outscore Watkins this year.

Then starting next year, several of those rookies from this year will look like excellent starters for your team, added to what you already had, and a super dynasty is born....................though it probably also helps you in 2014 if you trade for a halfway competent QB.

As someone already said, would be the worst trade in the history of the universe.

I don't see why they both couldn't. In the offense Foles plays in, there's not reason not to expect those numbers. With Maclin healthy, Cooper, DJax (for now at least), Sproles, McCoy, Ertz and Celek, I'd say he has the best group of WRs/RBs this side of Peyton Manning.

If you take Foles's numbers from last year and project them over a full season, he's have 4205/39/3. Now I'm sure the INTs will go up a little next year, but why couldn't he throw for those yards and TDs next season?

Not much about Foles is guaranteed. Not his eliteness. Not his QB1-ness. You took a risk. The saving grace is if Foles does fail, stopgap QB1 production comes cheap. However if he does fail, you might have an extra loss or two as you try and figure out if he's really failing or just unlucky, and then scramble to find a replacement. Rodgers is guaranteed. Like a large cap stock, there's benefit to having that guarantee on your roster. I think you got back enough to take that risk.

Slippery slope comparing a guy who played half a season very well to an NFL MVP, SB Champ and SB MVP. I hear what your saying but fantasy is about minimizing risk in my eye. While Rodgers got hurt last year on a freak injury his risk is far less than a guy who now will see better defenses since coaches have a year to prepare for Kelly and Foles. A lot of unknowns when playing against the Eagles last year, I expect different results this year.

I also value Rodgers as the #1 QB and by a good bit in dynasty, I only play in 6 point passing TD leagues too so I always value elite QBs a bit higher than the norm.

Are you sure Watkins and Evans will produce, I am almost certain Rodgers will and do it at the highest scoring position. Also, if you dont think that is too high for them two in start ups, then yes you would disagree with me like many others. Are you sure Watkins and Evans will produce, I am almost certain Rodgers will and do it at the highest scoring position. Also, if you dont think that is too high for them two in start ups, then yes you would disagree with me like many others. Again, I'm not the biggest fan of Watkins, I do not think he or Evans will be the best WR out of this class.

No, but that's not the point - you can trade them for any QB you want.

Not just to you, Doc. Maybe someone can explain these things to me. Why does Fitzgerald have a chance to re-enter the top 10 and Johnson doesn't? Johnson had one injury scattered season and now he's depth. What are the explanations for that? I'd also be interested in knowing why people would think Carson Palmer is going to get better instead of worse. Last year was probably his last acceptable year as a starting QB. I expect the Cardinals to be fed up with him after this upcoming one.
