Here is what Pens have said for the last month..... letang is day to day will be ready for playoffs, letang is day to day will be ready for playoffs, rinse repeat..today, oh by the way he is out for the year & may miss start of next season. What a stellar group of doctors the team employs...oof!!!

I wouldnt assume the public statement matches the team's thoughts. Its very possible they have always known he wasnt coming back. 

 
so what are we looking at as far as top 10 draft picks. been along time since the wings been in the "lottery". any cant misses? which European do the wings draft?

 
Another Presidents Trophy banner for the Caps. 

Caps are 14-1 since Feb 1 with Burakovsky in the lineup, outscoring opponents 61-31.

He's been out sick for a week. Checked into the hospital for tests as they try to figure out what's wrong.

this seems like a weird thing to point out.  he had 8 points and was +4 in those 15 games.  looks like more of a coincidence than anything.

Before he got hurt, Caps were playing great, 18-3 since New Year's. Then he got hurt and they went 6-8, including a 1-5 streak. Now they're 9-1 since he's back.

When he's in, Washington's depth really shows up - third line of Eller, Connolly and Burakovsky is playing great. I just wish they'd get more time, they're effectively the 4th line a lot of nights based on playing time.

if Burakovsky is the key to the Caps engine, this thing is going to break down well short of a cup

Anybody else going to be at United Center tonight for Frozen Four?

I have no idea where I'm sitting yet - trying to figure out my schedule other than being in my seat for the DU game.

 
Sounds Thornton is going to be OK come playoff time. 

Big game tonight against Edmonton potential 1st round matchup. Sharks play well tonight it will give them some momentum for the playoffs. 

 
Vlad Sobotka is back with the Blues in time for the playoffs and signs a 3 year extension.

Don't know if it'll mean too much, but I always liked his game. :shrug:

Yes, Marchand has to be smarter than that and he deserves whatever suspension he gets. Idiotic thing to do at this time of year. But Dotchinn appears to be taking some liberties out in front. Not that he deserved to take a harpoon to the nuggets. But even Dominic Moore was angry about something Dotchin did toward the end of the second right in front of us.
