LOUIS - At Albert Pujols’ restaurant in suburban St. Louis, they’re gearing up for a free champagne toast after tonight’s World Series game.“If the weather doesn’t get in the way, we’re going to take it tonight,” said Tiffany Lindsey, a manager at Pujols 5, the restaurant owned by the Cardinals’ famed slugger. “The Tigers made it interesting but they missed their opportunities last night.”On Thursday, the restaurant was full with a capacity 600 people and others waited outside for a chance to get in on the celebration.At nearby Ozzie’s, a restaurant owned by former Cardinals’ great Ozzie Smith, they’re planning a party tonight hosted by Smith himself and former player Willie McGee and ex-manager Whitey Herzog.Smith, McGee and Herzog were on the 1982 World Series champion Cardinals team.A band, fronted by Nikko Smith, Ozzie’s son who performed on American Idol, is playing at tonight’s party.“The momentum is all with the Cards,” said Dan Engel, a restaurant manager at Ozzie’s. “We’re going to clinch tonight and St. Louis will go nuts. It’s a special time.”
