****OFFICIAL 2008 Washington Redskins Thread**** (2 Viewers)

I would rather keep Rogers and bid Springs farewell. Springs still has skills, but it's only for about 8 games per year and God only knows which 8 games that will be. Even though they say that Springs is the only slot CB they have, Rogers has much the same traits in coverage as Springs and seems like him to excel at playing physically against bigger receivers.

Springs needs to be gone regardless, as do several other highly paid, oft injured players. It's time to rebuild. I'm torn on Rogers, I'd like to keep him, but if we can get some decent picks out of him I think I'd be ok with it (even though Cerrato will just blow them  ).

was listening to the monday morning quarterback show on 980 this morning, and riggo, after getting wind that portis was targeting 1500 yards, completely went off.

I did not care for riggo's afternoon show, but he does excellent work in the post-game and day-after shows he is on. he brings up valid points (and ones I don't really want to hear, as I've been in the tank for #26). check out the link, but he basically said that as long as portis - a "cancer" - is on the team, they'll not win.

And to reply about Riggins, he's never liked Portis so I disregard everything he says about him. Gee John, the guy gains more yards than you did and you call him a cancer? No jealousy there.
that's one perspective.another is that he does not like him because he is a locker room cancer. maybe he doesn't like that he has thrown Gibbs, Zorn and his OL under busses at various times. See, I never heard Riggo call Steven Davis or Terry Allen cancers when they were breaking his team records...
