*** Official 2013 Seattle Seahawks **** (3 Viewers)

Congrats Seahawks fans. I was hoping for a better game but glad the Seahawks won. They were definitely the best team in the NFL this year and did it first and foremost with defense.

Enjoy your victory!

Nobody could have beat Seattle yesterday. The defense punished the WRs. After seeing the Lions secondary get torched for years it was a joy to watch the LOB the last few weeks show how football is played.

Ex-Lion Cliff Avril was a nice addition. Will they try to keep him?

He has another year on his contract.

So awesome, so awesome
High fives all around. Great game if your a Seahawk fan. Nice to see other people come in here and give some props. That's pretty classy.

I'm a Chargers fan first, Seahawks fan second. This Seahawks team was truly a great team, and a fun team to watch. Congrats, Seahawks fans.

I have a massive hangover and can't believe I was able to even post something cogent in this forum after midnight last night.

When Smith picked off that pass and Harvin returned the kick, I went absolutely nuts at the bar and the people there just loved it. I think I may have even scared some people away, I was like an 80s WWF wrestler. :lmao:

Congrats Hawks fans, glad to see a new team and fanbase get to enjoy the Lombardi. For those of us that enjoy watching a good defense play, your team was a real treat this year. Bunch of animals. Now let's just not make a habit of it and let someone else win it next year, K? ;) Dynasties are lame.

I'll be streaming the parade also, I was already to go until I saw 500,000 other people were going. In other news, I read 8 Bronco fans showed up for their teams return.

Two reports I've heard on two different streams have quoted more than 700,000. Looks awesome. Crowd going nuts as players go by. Very cool.

I'm reading 700K also, was going to come from up north but my boy got sick. Might have been a blessing. My buddy took public transportation just north of Seattle and it took him 3 hours to get down to the parade route.

I'm down here wandering up and down the route. It is a sea of blue and green. Never seen a sporting crowd this big outside of maybe the '92 Olympics when the Dream Team made their way to the Palau Municipal d'Esports de Badalona. This is awesome!

Reports that while the NFL is only going to give out 70 SB rings, Paul "new money" Allen is going to pay for rings for ALL employees of the organization.

Including long time beat reporters, play by play guys/analysts like Warren Moon, and of course, Scot McGloughan. :pickle:

I haven't watched any other SB parades but I've gotta think 700k is not typical. Do world cup celebrations even draw that?

The 1986 Mets had an estimated 2.2 million for their World Series parade and the 1994 New York Rangers had an estimated 1.5 million.

Woah Woah Woah...writers and play by play guys are getting a ring?!?! Surely they're not as blingy as the players' rings...Heard last night that the officiating crew also gets a ring, but of course not the same ring players get.

Also, All Davis always kicked in extra money for SB rings when they won SBs back in the day...Raiders rings had to be bigger and flashier than everyone else's...lol...GB Al.

Doesn't the term "new money" mean you didn't earn it, it was given to you? I don't think that term applies to Paul Allen.

My perception is it is used to describe 'tech money' (as it is money derived from a "new" industry).

I know a lot of staff got Packers rings (they are different than the Player rings) after the 2010 season...and the wives got some sort of pendant that looked like the top of the ring (not sure if the team paid for that or if it was an option...we saw Kevin Greene and his wife at Disney that next summer and saw both).

Always cool of the organizations to do that for the people that work for them.

I had my own parade, a few of the drunk neighbors joined in. Pretty sure they are Ravens fans, but they just wanted to see if I was going to give them some free beer.

It means that you didn't come from Money. You earned it on your own rather than inheriting your families fortune.

Exactly. Using it as a derogatory term is pretty ####### stupid.

Yowzers.

They just mentioned on local radio that the Giants' most recent Superbowl parade drew about 30k. Granted the city of New York wins a championship about once every other year at least, but Seattle probably had 30k up in the trees alone. And the city just took Cano from NY, so maybe Seattle is on the verge of being the great sports town these fans deserve.
