So the week feels much better now right. At least our losses were Niners and Cards who are 10-4 combined.
Better, but a chance to re-take 1st was within reach.
We'll have plenty of chances to retake 1st place
Certainly and a Cowboys loss is what we were hoping for. It eases the sting but doesn't change the fact thar our defense gave up a long bomb or that we yet again couldn't punch it in from the goal line. Opportunity missed to take control of the division. Still a game we had in our reach and let slip away.

Yup, still stings but it would've been like chopping off a limb if Dallas had beaten Washington. This team still has it's issues. Erratic QB play, inconsistent CB and safety play, sloppy mistakes. But I still feel like this team is starting to get it's #### together. Even with all of those issues they were still a TD while in the red zone away from winning those games.

They simply need to contain Foster this weekend and I think they beat Houston pretty soundly. J.J. Watt will probably get his but he's just one guy, I don't really see anyone else that is truly dangerous on the Houston D. Not trying to disrespect but the Eagles should beat Houston this Sunday.

This is how I feel as well. If you tune out the noise of the radio and some reporters you can see we're getting better and better IMO. The OL has been getting better and better. Despite the big play to lose us the game our D has impressed me very much as well. Foles too...the deep ball he hit on Maclin is a miss 3-4 weeks ago. Rolling out of the pocket he threw some away when he normally wouldnt.

I also feel as if we've seen Dallas' peak.

Mosher was cherping about Herremans possibly being seriously injuried. Not sure where that came from. Have to think Kelce has a good chance to play this weekend. Humongous boost to the ground game.

Wasnt he the one that got drilled by one our own men on the endzone pick? I think thats where it came from.

Possibly. I hadn't noticed. I was pretty wrecked and pissed off by that time.

Lot of overreacting here. This is arguably the best team in the league. We lost 2 games, by a play or two, on the road vs playoff caliber teams. We're talking about two catchable balls from being 7-0. Polk fumbled and and int in the redzone happened more than an overwlming loss. Ari completed less than 50% of their passes and barely ran for 3 ypc. The Eagles lost but they are the better team.

You guys can blame Foles for everything like the media does. I blame McCoy. He does nothing on 1st down. Every drive is 2nd-3rd and long where Foles has to bail us out vs a lot of pressure up the middle. McCoy doesn't look like a threat at all. I don't know if they will bring him back next year.

Eskin said he left Sunday's game and returned with an elbow brace.

This is arguably the best team in the league.
If turning the ball over 3 times, giving up 80 and 75 yard TDs, and having over a hundred yards of penalties makes you the best team in the league, its time to find a new league.
What team outside of Denver can you look at as that much better than us? Right now, even after the lose, we are in the discussions for top 3 IMO

I would like our chances against any team not in Denver if we had to play them this week.

McManus: Todd Herremans reportedly has torn biceps, will try to play Sunday: goo.gl/Xxi5Xr4:42pm - 28 Oct 14

Probably safe to assume his return won't last too long. :(

Am I the only one who would've liked to see them pick up Barron to replace Allen?
right now, I would like to see them pick up Jaiquawn Jarrett.
I know Wolff was clearly beat out in the preseason, but I don't think he gives up that TD.

Drew Brees is like 5' 10" and can QB sneak from the 1 yard line. I refuse to believe Foles at 6'6" can't reach over the same way.

Foles isn't athletic enough to do what Brees did on that play.
Foles played basketball at AZ. He's athletic enough to jump up and reach over the pile.
Whatever--the highest probability play for the Eagles in that situation is to just run it straight up the middle with McCoy or Polk.

It takes 3 secs to turn around, hand it off and run to the line. A lot can happen in that time. In 1 second, Nick can jump up and over and extend his arms.

Good point and certainly up for debate. I just think I take my chances with McCoy or Polk in that situation.

I'm just disappointed in Chip's reason for not running the sneak.

I thought the exact same thing watching the game last night. First thing that popped into my head actually.

Well if you do decide to run, make sure you run left behind the future hall of famer and not behind David Molk.

Agree... but I think this week can change it all. I wanted the Arizona statement win for sure, but this is an even bigger statement win. 5-3 would NOT be fun. 6-2 and we should all be happy where we are at and will quickly forget the Arizona loss. I hoped to go 1-1 on this road trip, so that winnable game stings a lot. But even if we beat Arizona, a let down loss to the Texans wouldn't have been that awful.

Kelce starting, Sproles back and expected to play a big role. OLine getting better. Hope they can slow down Foster, he's been amazing the last month. Tough road game. Kind of feel the Eagles need this one.

McClane: Expectation is that Casey Matthews will now start at ILB for the injured DeMeco Ryans. He'll make the calls and set line when in there.

5:01pm - 2 Nov 14

Oh boy. Although he didn't look terrible before Ryans came back.

I think his last 2 games were the best he's ever looked. That's something to cling to. Feel bad for Ryans though. Huge loss for the locker room as well as the defense.

So what do you all think? Sanchez looked okay, not great, not terrible. Had some good passes and a few bad ones. Seemed like a lot of wobble on some of his balls but his accuracy seemed okay. He could get more comfortable as the weeks go on and wind up being decent, right? I know he sucked in NY but that was the Jets, they suck period. I have some faith he can get it done. :homer:
