Hoping for 1 or 2 of:

WR - Jordan Matthews or Cody Lattimer(could live with Allen Robinson).

TE - ASF(love his talent, best TE in the draft IMO, would be a great weapon, let Ertz move to a #2 role).

CB: Philip Gaines

DT/DE: Will Sutton
your TE just went... assuming you meant ASJ not asf

no one still wanting lee after the knee rumours today? Still woulda liked us trading up there for him. hope no wr run now

Yeah, my bad. Not a huge need, but just think he'll be a beast in the redzone. Ertz will be solid in that area as well.

Gaines was a combine all star, but on the field production has me wondering. Fas as @#$! though as a 4.38. If we go CB here want better size like McGill or Jean Baptiste

I agree, he needs a good DB coach, but the upside has me intrigued.

Jordan Mathews is fine by me...I prefer Latimer, and Adams, but if they like him all the better!

6'3" 212, 4.46 are great measurables!

Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt
Height: 6-3. Weight: 212.
40 Time: 4.46.
Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/6/14: Matthews collected 112 receptions for 1,477 yards with seven touchdowns in 2013. He had a clutch performance in a tight season opener against Ole Miss, snagging 10 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown. Matthews' score came from midfield as he took a quick swing pass the distance. The senior looked very good with his route running and moving the chains in the intermediate part of the field.

Matthews needed to run well at the Combine and turned in a faster than expected 40. Sources have said that Matthews is like Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams as a great college receiver lacking enough speed to go in the first round, but Matthews' Combine should clinch a second-day spot for him.

8/3/13: Matthews was excellent for the Commodores in 2012. He contributed to Vanderbilt almost upsetting South Carolina in the season opener. Matthews showed nice quickness with a 78-yard touchdown. He totaled eight receptions for 148 yards against the Gamecocks.

Matthews had 119 yards on eight receptions against Georgia. He also played well versus Florida with eight catches for 131 yards and a score. The junior finished the regular season strongly, going over 100 yards against Ole Miss, Tennessee and Missouri. Matthews recorded 94 receptions for 1,323 yards and eight touchdowns for the year. He totaled 41 receptions for 778 yards and five touchdowns in 2011.

Matthews has been well coached. He is a good route-runner with excellent hands. Scouts have told WalterFootball.com that entering the season they view Matthews as a second-day prospect for the 2014 NFL Draft. They feel he lacks the speed and explosiveness to be a first-rounder.

Personal: Son of Roderick and Brenda Matthews. Jordan Matthews does a lot of charity work. Matthews is the cousin of Jerry Rice.

@Jeff_McLane: Jordan Matthews is 6-3, 212 pounds. Ran a 4.46 40 at the combine. Caught 112 passes for 1,477 yards, 7 TDs as senior at Vanderbilt.

@SheilKapadia: Matthews (6-3, 212) ran a 4.46 at the combine. Finished his career as the SEC's all-time leader in catches and yards.

@MikeClayNFL: Jordan Matthews is both big and very fast. Going to have a nice career in the Chip Kelly offense. Immediately No. 3 on the depth chart.

@caplannfl: Matthews is a relative of Jerry Rice.

@ZBerm: Matthews played against top CBs and without elite QBs, and put up big numbers. Gives Eagles another big-bodied WR. Chip will be down soon.

@MattLombardo975: Jordan Matthews to #Eagles is a tremendous addition. 6'3 target who finished as SEC all time leading WR.

@Jeff_McLane: Matthews caught 262 passes for 3,759 yds and 24 TDs in college career, playing in best conference. He'll be 22 in July.

@SheilKapadia: Did a video breakdown of Jordan Matthews last month. Caught a lot of screens, can get open downfield: http://t.co/RjpwDQbNd2

@caplannfl: Matthews at combine: 6'3" 1/10, 212. Huge hands (10 3/8), arm (33 1/4), wing span (80). 40: 4.46.

@JimmyKempski: Jordan Matthews asked for game tape of the CBs he was going to face in practice at the Senior Bowl.

@MoveTheSticks: Since Chip Kelly arrived, the Eagles have made an effort to get taller and longer at every position.

Yes. I am so glad we didn't draft a smallish WR. Versatile players and now we have WR's that can block. Damn this is looking nasty when you swing out Ertz and Celek.

There's going to be some tough rookie picks after the top two - Beckham, Cooks, Matthews, Lee and Ebron.

Big, fast, hard working and produced against top CBs without much help on offense.

Not my personal favorite WR available, but impossible to fault the pick. Needed a WR, and he will do well in this offense!

Attacking needs rounds 1,2 for sure. Two thirds to come.

@GeoffMosherCSN: Why trade up? Chip: "We had 2 guys we were targeting (in second round) and one went." I'll go ahead and guess other guy was Marqise Lee.

Yup, sounds like it. We got the better WR IMO.
They asked Chip who the other guy was and if it was Lee, he said he wasn't going to say but it isn't hard to figure out.
ya i dont think we needed to trade up to get him though but not worththat risk. wr's are dropping now... give us another one! haha

Hopefully we hear less idiots tomorrow on the radio. Ive never heard such stupidity as I did today on the radio. Thats saying a lot.

seems strange they're saying miami got stuck at 19 and wanted to move down... why did we not make this trade and take ha ha?

MATHEWS Pick Analysis: "He'll fit in beautifully in Philadelphia and in Chip Kelly's offense. He makes tough catches. He has a big body. He ran faster than a lot of people anticipated (4.46-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine). The Eagles get Jeremy Maclin back. They have added Matthews and Darren Sproles. This team is going to be the first-, second- or third-leading scoring team in the league." -- Mike Mayock

Mclane: Just had conference call with Jordan Matthews. Sounds like an impressive young man. Seemed to already have a grasp on Chip's offense.

8:49pm - 9 May 14

Mosher: Matthews graduated in 3.5 years w/degree in economics. Said he wanted to be ready to be a pro before he left Vandy & after.

8:48pm - 9 May 14

Smart dude.

Frank: Matthews: "Every opportunity Ive ever had, Ive had to grind for it. Nothings ever been given to me. When the balls in the air its mine"

8:47pm - 9 May 14

Charachter.
