Keeping to Mikey Miss, his boy Kaepernick might be available next year after SF cuts him.
I don't wantonly part of that bum. He doesn't have the brain. Then again with all the dysfunction in SF who knows?
That was mostly tongue in cheek since Miss dismisses Foles as a bum but Kaep is an ascending talent.
Yeah I know. He constantly polishes Newton's knob too. Fuggin' irritating...
We're getting RG3 for a 5th as well I think

Arizona win last night changes lots of scenarios for us. It would be a dream to go through Arizona instead of Seattle. Just need Seattle to lose 1 game and us beat the cowboys and it would give us a good chance of: Hosting Detroit, then Going to Arizona. What a dream playoff schedule that would be.

Not sure who holds tiebreaker between detroit/seattle though (same conf record, not enough common games) so it would be strength of victory which I'm not sure who has.

EDIT: Seattle holds SOV over Detroit, so we totally could get this dream scenario if Seattle loses one more game this year.

Seattle plays Arizona next week with their 3rd string QB.

Ya Seattle should crush them. Seattle loses to either SF or St Louis though and that's enough.

Seattle isn't losing to Arizona or San Fran (at home) but they could lose to the Rams. The Eagles still have a pretty decent shot at the 2 seed IMO. Even if Dallas wins this week, I could easily see them choking it back against the Colts.

Seattle could lose this week. Harbaughs last hoorah.
I agree. Same with GB and Buffalo IMO-- I'm really interested to see that Bills DL on the GB OL--both games will be close if not upsets
Do you guys really think Seattle could lose at home against the Niners? The niners look absolutely awful right now. I think Seattle could legitimately lose week 17 at the Rams but I don't see them losing before that.

How many games you think people started a sentence like that?

I'm not saying it's a lock but there's a decent chance it happens.

Week to week in the NFL is one of the oddest leagues to predict what will happen.

"Do you guys really think..."

Week 14

Carolina will roll the Saints in New Orleans

Oakland will dominate San Fran after losing 52-0

Week 13

Jax would come back down 21-0 to beat NYG in New York

Cincy would only beat Tampa by 1 point

Week 12

winless Oakland would beat KC

and so on.

Every week has unfathomable upsets. So no it's not that hard to imagine SF beating a hated rival that embarrassed them 2 weeks ago.

Fine. If you're going to say that then you may as well say the Eagles can lose at Washington or the Giants. Of course anything is possible but right now Seattle is playing like an elite team in the NFL. The Niners--not so much......

Ok you cited a few anomalies. Now why don't you tell me how many times the favorite won convincingly

I know there may be some in here who will call me an Eagles hater based on my last 2 posts but I just don't see the Niners beating the Seahawks in Seattle. Kaepernick looks completely lost right now and the Seahawks defense is dominating. Just a bad matchup IMO. Just like I feel the Cowboys are a bad matchup for the Eagles. I still think the Eagles have a decent shot at the bye but I think it will be deterimined week 17 when the Rams host the Seahawks. That's the potential game I see the Hawks losing.

Also, interesting that you left out the Raiders victory over the Niners last week. The Niners are a hot mess right now with Kaepernick at QB.

Even if the Hawks lose the final week, they have the tiebreaker over Philly so we can't get the bye.

I don't think it's very likely SF beats SEA. But yes, anything can happen. Even if Seattle has like a 90% chance to win each remaining game, the chance of winning all 3 of them would be 75%. So I'm hoping one of the three upset them but I agree St. Louis probably has the best shot at it.

Currently have same record, so assuming Eagles win out and Seahawks lose one game and Arizona loses their last two, Eagles would be 2 seed (More assumptions, Green Bay wins at least one more game).

How exactly are the Cowboys a bad matchup for Philly?

Philly could score on every possession they have, I don't think Dallas can.

I agree they can get the bye, but he posted that the cowboys should beat the eagles this week and that they could still get the 2 seed though. If we lose to dallas, the 2 seed is gone.

I know most in here are more interested in the eagles winning games and I can appreciate that but I go to team threads from time to time to try and get some helpful insight. I'm in a start 2 qb league and wondering if anyone here has any news on the possibility of foles coming back week 16 or 17. My league plays Super Bowl week 16 and total points winner for the year after week 17. I have Brady and had cam. Now I have Manzeil and Anderson to pair one with Brady. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh yeah, although not mathematically. It would take a pure miracle for them to get the 2 seed if they lose one more game. I was able to make it happen in the Yahoo scenario thingy.

He's scheduled to be re-evaluated after the Dallas game this week. Stay tuned.

If sanchez plays well again and they beat dallas again it's his job I think

I think he's already shown enough that he isn't the guy. I'm assuming Kelly is hoping Foles is cleared for the Redskins, or at least the Giants, so he has a game or two to knock the rust off before the playoffs.

I was drunk when I made that post but I actually meant the complete opposite . The Eagles are a bad matchup for the Cowboys (as proven a few weeks ago).

Whoooooo! Season tix holder living in Orlando. Make the pilgrimage up to LFF 1 or 2 times each year and stubhub/nfl tix exchange the rest.

Picked this game out preseason and darn sure glad I did! This is the biggie, basically for the division. You have to think Dallas steps up after her the Thanksgiving beat down. No sure thing hoping for the WC. Gotta have this one IMO.

In a parking lot getting 'warmed up' as I type...E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!

Eagles aren't winning a tiebreaker (unless it's against Dallas)

Seattle and GB loss head to head

Detroit better conference record (7-2) v Eagles (5-4)

That being said, GB loss helps. One away from beating them outright. A Seattle loss would help too!

Yup Detroit wins the tiebreaker. And Arizona is still somehow managing to win games. At this point, I think it would take a miracle for the Eagles to get homefield but a first round bye is still in play. Seattle and Detroit now losing.

Right, but I think what he's saying is that if GB DOES lose again, it will be to Detroit, and then Detroit would beat us out of 2nd on tie breakers

We might be better off just waiting until week 17 to worry about all of this. GB losing to Buffalo, Detroit losing to Minny, Seattle losing to SF :loco: I don't get this league at all.........

Of course Detroit is losing 14-0 to Minnesota so...

Just saying...we're alive for the #2 and a bye, but have to beat teams outright.

AZ, SEA, GB, DET all have tiebreaker over PHI (but could change...DET could get 3rd loss today and 4th v GB, but then we wouldn't need a tiebreaker)

Still a couple weeks left, but NO DOUBT GB loss, and potentially DET/SEA loss helps!

Atmosphere at the Linc is ELECTRIC right now!
